  • Morning all
Uolypool, you are in my thoughts.
Yesterday BIL & his son came over to finish off the gazebo, we were all in a constant panic about BIL in case he took a fall or something, he is still very unsteady but I think it did him good to be here, he felt useful & could potter around at his own pace, terrible to think he will never work properly again & he's only in his 40's. He has a rescue dog & say's that the dog is the only reason he gets up in the morning, the dog had been found abandoned, tied to a lamp post & is devoted to BIL, he stands at the toilet door whimpering because this is the only time BIL is out of his sight. Anyway, the gazebo is finished even if Hubby did have to climb in through the bedroom window & then got stuck when the pen in his pocket got jammed in the window bracket!
Not long after BIL & his son left, there was a knock at the door & it was a friend of Hubby's come for an unexpected visit, I stretched our HM chinese out to feed him too & he had a few beers & decided to stay the night & not drive home, fortunately the spare bed was made up & the spare room was tidy.
Plans for today include watching the GP, knitting more of a fluffy cushion, making a couple of dolls dresses & cooking roast lamb, oh & admiring our new gazebo.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Hester, i must of missed what is up with BIL.. hope he's okay.

Sounds like you had a busy weekend... would of loved a pic of DH stuck in window :rotfl:

Oz tried to make a run for it off a train on Monday. Popped his collar. He fell between train and platform. I threw myself to catch him. Hence lots of bruises.

Cat-Smith - poor thing... and you of course. Hope you heal quickly xx

    Morning All,
Not been on as have been poorly & very down, so nothing positive to say. Have been thinking of you all though & am sending hugs to all those in need also a hi5 to FW.
Today the sun is out for the first time in weeks, so have organised the washing & DP is on line duty. DD stayed at a friends last night so am waiting for her to come home & cook the roast chicken with all the trimmings as have been unable to cook or eat all week  lived on ribena for 4 days but have now graduated to soup, but still can't tolerate anything dairy. Think it has become a bit of a vicious circle now because my meds don't sit well on an empty stomach so am not sure what is making me feel sick still.
any hoo Hope you all have a peaceful Sunday, hugs, spoons & hi5s as always oh & welcome to the newbies x

Jaxx.... Thank You. I hope you are feeling better soon and manage to eat something xx

Good afternoon all and <<hugs to the poorly and blue folks>>
Just finished making 6 dozen sausage rolls for this afternoons thrash at DDs.I just have to wrap DGS Danny's pressie up and apart from having a light lunch everything is done.I think there are about 18 of us all told .
We are celebrating his 21st birthday today instead of tomorrow as he starts back on his new show 'Pointless' as a researcher tomorrow. When he left '8 out of 10 Cats' last week they had a collection for him and he had £140.00 all told and all the cast and crew signed a big card to wish him well. He was so pleased .He has now got his leg up one rung on the ladder, and has gone from Runner to Head Runner to Researcher in 2 years.I am so proud of him and he is hoping to get assistant producer by the time he is 25.Television and cinema is a very hard business to get into and a lot depends on hard work attitude and being in the right place at the right time. Danny has always made a point of when things were quiet on set he would ask the camera chaps and the lighting guys questions about their work, and has learned such a lot from them .He is happy to do almost anything to keep the crew going and has never said no to anything they ask him to do no matter how small. He will go far that lad, as everyone gets on with him as he is such a happy-go-lucky young
    man.
Well time to go and get some lunch on the go. I hope everyone has a good day, and even better at the moment the sun is shining and I can see my lovely River medway Life just gets better by the minute today
    Cheers chums
    JackieO xx

JackieO- Congrats to DGS. He has done so well. You are right to feel proud of him xx
