Ah - was hoping you would say that FlyBoy :) You are a godsend! I did think the damages/discrepancies was quite ambiguous and restrictive...

I had already sent the mail anyway, I also phoned and politely informed the customer services manager of my mail. He has said he will read it and come back to me on Wed...i.e I will phone him on Wed!!!!

    ....be afraid...be very afraid!..please!

OK, I was going to query if it was worth the hassle in chasing if the value was lower but that's worth chasing!

Indeed, if it was a £100 laminate I would...anyway, worth a shot, lets see what they respond on Tues. If I have to write it off then so be it but may as well give it a go

You should have said that you were prepared to hold.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

Managed to speak to him and he claims he hasn't had a chance to read the email yet...yeah right....as he is "ever so busy" but is hoping to get to it this afternoon. I have been very polite thus far but sooner or later he is going to get a mouthful, the question is how long do you give him?

Oh and spoke to someone at trading standards and they agree with FlyBoy.
