Hi
I am about to try claiming my charges back from LLOYDSTSB and as they will probably cut off my account, does anyone know if this will spread to their Black Horse subsidiary because they are the company who my car finance is through?

Provided your loan is kept in good order this is a separate agreement from your current account and shouldn't be affected.0

I had a loan and overdraft which I recently consolidated as one loan with Barclays. I want to start a reclaim for all the charges they have made (which got me in debt in the first place!) but am afraid of what will happen if they close my account and ask for the loan back...any advice welcome.0

wanting to reclaim bank charges as i had serious accident 4 years ago and incurred lots of charges. i have no overdraft in use and can set up another account no probs, but will reclaiming my charges with my bank affect the loan i have with them? can they insist on full payment to clear it?0

Hi all
got a load of questions here and first post so please help!
Thinking of putting in letter reclaiming bank charges to Bank of Scotland. Question I have is, I have a Bank Loan with them that is due to run for another 4 years - what is the likelihood that they will close my bank account down (already have another account with another bank that I will start using), and would they be able (legally) to demand full payment of outstanding loan balance, even though still 4 years to run?
Also, have a credit card with IF that is now at collection agency - with an agreement that this will be cleared fully within the next year (osb approx 1600) - will any action I take regarding bank charges affect agreement made with collection agency?
Also as I live in Scotland can someone point me in direction for claiming in Scotland as know there are different rulings?
many thanks, this is worrying me out of my mind0 -
I am about to claim against HSBC but also have a managed loan with them, and another current account with First Direct (part of the HSBC group).
I still owe ~£4k on the managed loan, and while I am aware that it is under a seperate credit agreement I am worried about my First Direct account. Am I likely to get my first direct account affected? And if so, can they take any money from it and contribute it towards my managed loan with HSBC? (the account is in credit as I am planning to move house shortly and am using it as my savings fund)
I want to get the ball rolling ASAP and already have my list of charges, but I just want to be sure before I start anything.
Any help will be much appriciated. Ta.:T0 -
Ah seems my post got moved here, no worries. My problem isn't so much being forced to repay my loan instantly, but rather, will HSBC talk to First Direct (a member of the HSBC group) and close my new First Direct account?0

I have recently sent for my statements, and am confident i am doing the right thing in claiming my mony back from the bank.
My husband, who has had his bank account for about 27 years, is worried about reclaiming his, because he has a bank loan and an overdraft, as well as two credit cards with the bank.
Should he be worried about making a claim, in case they shut his account?
What will happen to his loan if they shut the account?
Thanks for any help in advance, i personally think he should go for it.0 -
Hello - both myself and my partner have personal loans with our respective banks (Natwest and HSBC.) We are planning on claiming back charges for both accounts but are concerned over any consequences this might have for our loans. Both are v.high and will not be covered by the amounts we will be claiming back. As I have read about banks closing accounts, can they close the loan accounts and demand the money back?
Thanks.0 -

They may close your account, however as long as loan payments are up to date, they shouldn't request repayment of this.0
