My son has a Resolve loan with Barclays due in part to their high bank charges. If they decide he is entitled to reclaim the charges will they keep it and deduct it from his loan? Should he open another account in case they close his bank account?
  • As per these previous posts a loan should be a different agreement but is this Resolve loan linked to the current account or a loan taken out to pay back a current account "debt"?
  • I am about to start claiming bank charges back from my bank, I also have a loan with them and I wondered if they can, and if so, likely to recall the loan as well?

I look forward to your reply.

    Thanks

    Dave

there is a thread about this somewhere
  • no 100% not i have two managed loans and ive claimed they are seperate agreements as long as your update there should be no problems even if your not as i was a payment behind you should be fine dont let it put you off.

    Good Luck
  • The title says it all - can Lloyds TSB call in early a Personal Loan I have with them if I try to get unfair charges back from them?
I know they have closed accounts & not concerned about that as I have a seperate account with nationwide ready to take the business, but coudn't pay of the loan just now.
    Thanks in advance
  • Your loan is a separate agreement and provided that your loan is well maintained this shouldn't be a problem. Please have a look at the Reclaim Bank Charges board, linked to in my signature.
