are mobile phones included in Argos 28 day refund .if so dry it out, re-pack and return
Whilst this obviously sits well within your lifestyle I don't think th emajority of people would be happy with such blatant fraud.
I have reported your post as MSE is not a place for posts advocating fraud and I would not like to see this site's reputation ruined.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. dont forget now Argos have a lot of temp staff that will most likely follow the book. " wait a minute while i check to see if their is a repair option for this item" and then they come back " yes sir we will need to send it away for repair" what will you do then
i have checked on argos site and some mobile phones are excluded from the 30 days MBG you have to look for a cross next to the item name if it has one its excluded0 -

The 30 day MBG has nothing to do with the issue... you'd only use that if you've changed your mind.
Argos do send mobiles away for repair... after 30 days (again, nothing to do with the 30 day MBG), so if the mobile was bought in the last 30 days then the OP would get a replacement if they decided to lie about the cause of the fault.
In my opinion the OP's best bet is to let the phone dry out for at least a week and it may come back to life. Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0 -

In my experience temp staff tend to be alot less conscientious than permanent staff. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

How does anyone else read that statement? To me the OP is inferring that accidental damage is covered under some warranty clause. If so then what the OP did would be classed as accidental damage.
OP needs to clarify the quoted statement, to say what they really meant.0 -

permanent staff tends to use their judgement more than temp staff who will follow the companies policies.
i onece took a digital recorder back to argos after 2 month as it just stopped recording even though it was marked in the menu as recording.
the staff member said that it should be returned for repair but 9/10 items are returned to store unable to repair so she just replaced this.
you think you pay £100 then argos would of paid approx. £40 wholesale for that item, but a repair would cost £30 then to argos its uneconomical to repair
but a temp staff member would book it in for repair as thats the company policy.0 -
The OP refers to the Argos outlet store - if she means the ebay store most of their tech products go straight back to the tech bods.0
