  • Ok, lets try it again:
    1) I washed the shirt.
    2) I let the shirt dry.
    3) I ironed the shirt (including the arms).
    4) I put the shirt on.
    5) within 5 minutes of putting it on the arms looked so creased like they hadn't been ironed.

Do I have grounds to take the shirt back for a refund.

    Is that clear enough?

No you don't, they are 100% cotton shirts and will crease more that polycotton. They are best ironed slightly damp and using spray starch.

Also, how many people do you know that don't iron their work clothes.

    Use some common sense.

    I dont.
I do though get my partner to do it!

When she can't do it, well... it's unlikely to get done or i'll put a different shirt on.

Or I suppose if i'm only wearing it to meet friends I don't mind it not being 100% perfect, so long as it's presentable(ish). Doesn't always need to be ironed first in social situations.... but I guess we should all assume from your op that it was for work also?

What you mean like the range of 40 shirts on their site under the category 'Casual Shirts'?

Lewins and Pinks shirts are absolutely terrible for creasing.

I gave up on them ages ago.

M&S "Ultimate" shirts are good but the colours are pretty limited.

  • I have bought several shirts from Lewin. I have found them to be excellent.

Never had a problem with them.

I am sure if you take the shirt to them and explain the problem they can help. TM Lewin are an excellent company.

+1, and some 100% cotton shirts crease more than others. Whilst TM Lewin may indeed be a good retailer and take back the shirt it'll be down to goodwill as imho the shirt is not faulty and is fit for purpose.
