I bought a shirt from TM Lewin last week for £30, should have been £37.
Went to wear it today for the first time today and within 5 minutes of putting it on the arms were so creased I had to change it! To give you an idea how bad it was, my gf walked into the bedroom & asked if I'd forgot to iron the arms!
So, do I have grounds to take it back for a refund or am I on a hiding to nothing? I still have the receipt, packaging and bag.

Must've taken you longer to write that post than it would take to iron two shirt sleeves.0 -
I would take it back as 'not fit for purpose'.0

it is fit for purpose as he managed to wear it just that he was too lazy to iron it first.
shirts are best washed and ironed before been worn for the first time0 -
I thought it was fairly obvious that I'd ironed it! Why would I wear a shirt for work and not iron it!?0

Lewin have good customer service, I am sure they will replace it if you are disappointed.
BTW, what difference does the price make? Do you think it being reduced meant something such a defect?Hoping this year is better than the last.0 -

He wore it, and after 5 minutes it was so creased it looked like he had not ironed it....that's not fit for purpose.
Take it back!

Well I didn't think it obvious.
You did not say you had ironed it in your original post.timberflake wrote: »Why would I wear a shirt for work and not iron it!?0 -
Why on earth did you think that?
Well I didn't think it obvious.
You did not say you had ironed it in your original post.
I have no idea. Is that relevant?
Are you being serious? If for no other reason, why would I want to take a shirt back that was creased if I hadn't ironed it.
Also, how many people do you know that don't iron their work clothes.
Use some common sense.0 -

you are the one who never explained fully in your opening post, so we can only advise on what you wrotetimberflake wrote: »Went to wear it today for the first time today and within 5 minutes of putting it on the arms were so creased I had to change it!0
