  • Wow....OP simply asks where to buy Heely's, MSEr's enter a debate. Not sure opinions were being sort?

Oh, and in reply to to poster who mentioned about the lad who had a terrible accident on his Heely's? Well, consider how many children get killed on bikes or just walking out without looking...as someone has said, it's ridiculous how the media make a mountain out of molehill..

Don't know if it's okay to offer a pair on here, but i bought my son a pair for his birthday which i had to order from USA as nobody had them in stock in his size on UK sites.

You can see them on https://www.flywalk.co.uk find the 'atomic white' model for £73.90 including delivery.

Somehow his Grandparents have got him a pair too so I have ONE pair for sale.

They are a size 7 UK which as you can see are not in stock, I was going to ebay them but if you pm me I will sell them for £65 including delivery. (payment via paypal)

They are worn by boys and girls.

Back to quotes about banning them from supermarkets.
Are we going to ban trolleys which do more damage to my ankles then any child in a pair of skating shoes.
We have purchased both cheaper and dearer ! would recommend the later .

My wife is an NHS Podiatrist (wouldnt dare call her a chiropodist!), and whe is horrified at the number of kids wearing heelies at the moment.

The stresses placed on the ankle from holding the foot in the position required to "float" in the shoes is very bad both for the ankle and the lower leg.

I can understand the amount of hassle they could save in getting the kids moving (got a 3tr old and 7 yera old myself) but the old "sensible shoes" adage would seem to be appropriate.

You would not let your pre-teen daughted cram her feet in stillettoes (Glasgow girls excepted) - the same should apply to these things...

Another comment on these - I don't think they should be banned but there is a time nad place for wearing these nd I am sure running and walking gives as much exercise at the supermarket!!

When we was on holiday at Disney there were loads of kids wearing these - halfway through they day you would hear them complaining about their legs hurting. They lollop around on them putting the feet down rather than walking in a proper manner and this has got to put undue stress on the legs, ankles and feet. Surely it is common sense that walking around in these things for 12 hours a day is going to be bad for the lower half of your body, I was shocked at the number of kids wearing them - you can tell by the way they walk!! Besides, Disney have a no skate policy as well now so why they wear them is anyones guess. I would not let my kids have them, I'd get roller blades that they can wear to go skating, not shopping. I refused my daughter the first time around which was about 5 years ago and I'd still refuse her now!! I don't think they are good for everyday wear at all which they are obviosuly intended to be. Oh, BTW, am 35, hardly old but these aren't great, get some blades or roller skates instead, they are safer and just as much fun.
