the 16" wheels on the a3 have the same (give or take 2mm) rolling radius as 225/40/18 tyres. However replica 18's will weigh a hell of a lot more than the standard rims, this is where the difference will lie.0 -

1994 Primera 2.0l petrol - average about 30-32, best 43 on a long motorway trip at about 60mph.
Doesn't seem too bad for an old 'un.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
vw passat 1.9tdi average around 45mpg but on trip to norway in the summer ,rugby to newcastle then bergen to forde and back to rugby on one tank of fuel i think it averaged about 58 mpg but i did take it steadyHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. manufacturer's mpg stats seem to bear no relation to the real world
spot on! ive kept meticulous records of my cars past 15 years
average engine size 1766cc
average mileage when purchased 76000
average urban mpg 21.3 mpg
currently my pug 405td does 24mpg(50mpg is claimed) and everone i meet has a car that does at least 50% betterr mpg than me
montego 1.6hl 16mpg
citroen ax gt 17 mpg:mad:
toyota starlet 1.2 1979 17mpg:eek:
nissan micra 1.0 33mpg0 -
I've got a 3.2ltr Terrano diesel and get 23mpg.
Thanks for the link; I always work it out long hand with a piece of paper and a pen - this should save me some time
