Hello.
A search for "Hoodless Brennan" yielded nothing so I thought I'd post this so that those who either deal with HB or are thinking of doing so could be informed as to their new charges:

Dear Client
Variations to our charges
I am writing to advise you of the following variations to our charges that will be effective from 4th February 2007. Our aim is to offer investors outstanding value products with clear and transparent charges and, as the table below shows, these variations do not apply to our main charges which remain unchanged and offer you excellent value for money.
Our goal is to offer our clients outstanding value products with clear and transparent charges. Recent accolades, such as Investor's Chronicle award for best online stockbroker for cost and features in the Sunday Times review of top stockbrokers describing us "a good, no-nonsense broker for the cost conscious investor", confirm we are doing just that.
Indeed, responding to our clients' wish to have greater control and flexibility over their investments we can now provide many of our administrative services to you at no charge at all. For instance we will soon be contacting you about accessing your own statements on line, when it suits you.
You need do nothing on receipt of this letter. However for your information, the table below highlights changes we are introducing in a simple "at a glance" guide. Or you may wish to review the full list of charges which is attached. Full details of our revised commission rates and charges will be available on the website from 4th February 2007.
COMMISSION RATES AND CHARGES (CHANGES EFFECTIVE 4TH FEBRUARY 2007)
AGENCY TRANSACTIONS THAT DO NOT SETTLE VIA THE UK AND CREST ARE CHARGEABLE AT £40 PER TRADE OR 0.5% WHICHEVER IS GREATER
OTHER CHARGES
Invalid stock rejection from Registrars £15 Withdrawal of Share Certificates will incur an additional charge of £15.00
OTHER SERVICES
Transfer of foreign holdings outside of Crest via agent £40 per item Foreign certificate deposit £50 per line of stock Sale of shares under probate £17 per line Request for duplicate dividend voucher £5 each Request for hard copy of annual reports £5 each Request for hard copy of statement £2.00 each
Unless we hear from you to the contrary your acceptance to the amendments to our charges, which will be applicable on any transaction undertaken on or after the effective date, will be deemed without confirmation from you.
I would like to thank you for choosing Hoodless Brennan and assure you that in 2007 we will be bringing you many more great value financial products and even better customer service.
Yours faithfully

I can't see any mention of the online transaction charge currently standing at £7. Or am I missing something?
