I bought a couple of 15" inch M&S branded TVs a few years ago and I'm not impressed. Returned one of them, still have the other one but have upgraded to Sony.
I think you get what you pay for but the customer service is very good if you have problems.

The majority of own-brand TVs are made in Turkey by Vestel & Beko, using the cheapest possible components.

Those seeking a bargain-priced Sony TV with proven performance should click here.

The T.V. arrived today, and was installed by the people that delivered it. I have to say at the moment we are not very happy. The picture is alright, but the sound is TERRIBLE! very tinny.
My husband who knows what he is doing, tried everything possible to improve the sound, but no luck. The guys that delivered it said " the HD channels are on 50 & 53, but they are not showing, sometimes this happens, If you re-tune again they might appear." Well I am not very happy with is, we did re-tune still no channels 50 etc
Has anyone else got their TV yet, and what is their opinion..........
What do you think I should do now...... complain to M&S and return it?

Unfortunately you do get what you pay for.
You can't expect the sound quality on a flat panel of most makes to be any good at all. You will need to connect it to an external system like a 5.1 DVD/blu ray system to get the benefit.

When I switched to a Panasonic flat screen, I found the same with the sound. I ended up shelling out another £500 for a surround sound system. These flat screens do not have the space to fit decent speakers inside them. It's a very common problem. If you're unhappy, yes, complain & return. (Hope you didn't let them take away your old TV.)
