  • Sorry if this is in the wrong place but this is the first time I have used this forum. On the Ultimate Guide to Penny Pinching on TV last week, one of the couples was comparing the prices of every item on their shopping list by typing it in to a comparison website and then it would list the price at each of the 4 main supermarket chains. I have tried to find this facility on Mysupermarket.co.uk which I saw them using, but cannot find it, just the price of a whole shopping basket. Can somebody help please?

just log in to the site and click on any of the items - it will show you how much each item costs on each of the supermarkets.
you can also do a "swap and save" which, i think, is brilliant, as it saves a lot of money!
  • Thanks libertysurf - had a look, and it says they hope to be back up tomorrow. Only Tesco and ASDA so far, but its a start. Hopefully they can eventually provide what MoneySupermarket don't.

That trolleychecker site is up, but it's rubbish. Only two supermarkets and only a limited range of products -can't even find mince pies, !!!!!!!

Wish they'd put the ruined site back to how it was. Stopped using it now.

I still cant get my head around the new site, slow, cumbersome and too messy with all the icons which I do not see any need for. Cant link to the box with the price comparisons like you used to do if you want to post the info online re an offer.

I used to print off my shopping list to use in store as I only use it to compare prices and then shop in store, but when I try to print it all I get is an error message. I emailed them to ask them how to print and am still waiting for a response over a week later. Not at all impressed with the new site or their response to queries, maybe they have been inundated with comments/complaints!

Wish there was a better site I would be there in a shot.
  • Do Asda have shares in MySupermarket? They are always harping on about it.

I do my shopping at Morrisons.
  • Hi

Another one here who HATES the new website - slow, clunky, too many ads... (and I use explorer, so I'm sure its not a browser problem... lol....)

I will have to go back to my old lo-tech way - log the prices on the receipts and take advantage of offers as and when I see them (they were always missed due to 'store availability' issues anyway...) Oh well, their loss. No more ordering online for me. Its back to shopping by pushbike! Good job the OH got me a new set of 'wheels' for my birthday a few months back...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
SMILE....they will wonder what you are up to...........;)

It's not a browser problem, it's just a rotten redesign. They'll find out how rotten when they see their hit rate falling off a cliff.

I too cannot get my head around the new site. Why fix it if it aint broken?

Perhaps we should all email them with our concerns. I did this when it first changed and they did actually reply very fast, not an automated reply neither. People power can change many things .:)

Already done that. Given to believe I would like it if only I persevered and everyone else in the main liked it. Humph!

I think money talks louder than an email from us. I've stopped using it to send a trolley to the supermarkets. So...revenue down, may be then they will change it back!
    Slow learner? Me or them?
