Hi can someone please put my mind at ease.
Park Direct Ltd - got a ticket in the past last December saying I had illegally parked and pay a fine of £60 - I read the forums and ignored it.
Just received a letter from Parking Collection services a debt recovery company demanding money and if not the will instruct solicitors - I spoke with Ealing Council - they said - Private Company - but do not know if they have any powers??
What shall I do?
thanks0 -
"Private company" - Is all you need to know. Ignore! No powers whatsoever.
And if you search, you will almost certainly find a few other threads on PCS!

Hi All.
I today just received a letter from TCP (as expected) informing me that they have got my details from DVLA and the fine has risen to £60.
This was expected but the thing that threw me was that they managed to get my details from DVLA. Am I correct to continue to ignore? I have not wrote back to them and I am simply going to write on the envelope 'not at this address' and send it back in the post?
Thanks for all of your help.

Getting your details from the DVLA is the usual form, carry on ignoring them!0 -

Let me Google that for You
Can't understand why this was a surprise to you, it happens all the time and exposure of this matter has been in national papers, on Watchdog, etc. for years. Hence all the results on that search once it has loaded.
If you reply in any form then they know their letters are being received & looked at. It would be like bouncing a reply back to a phishing emailer who would be equally thrilled to know that their scamogram had been read & noticed. Treat it like a series of phishing emails and don't take the bait.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
