MRN - I know what you mean, I will miss looking at my eBay app once everything is gone..... At the moment the loft is still bulging, so we have a little way to go. Plus, it's back to work tomorrow, so less time to spend on eBay listings and post office runs!

2 weeks off work has been fantastic and really relaxed me, I feel ready to get back with lots of motivation and enthusiasm.

Had a lovely weekend, my baby niece was here to stay, I did the night feeds and got up in the morning with her to give them a break... I really enjoyed it but it was nice to hand her back again! Needless to say, we all had a super nights sleep last night after she had gone. Missing her though!

Spent too much as treated everyone to an Indian takeaway, but all enjoyed and we didn't go too wild.

Did a spot of Christmas shopping with my sister yesterday morning. Found a few bargains so job well done, transferred money from Christmas saves to cover the cost. Need to check through everything I have already bought and make an up to date list otherwise I might end up with too many presents and that wouldn't be very MSE at all!

Sun seems to be shining, so I honk a trip to the park with the boys is in order. Enjoy the bank holiday everyone.

Wow - I really have been a bit flea bay mad this month.... I just started to list a new pile of stuff and it has started to charge me a 10p insertion fee - after checking, I discovered that after you have listed 100 items in a calendar month, this is the charge for listing each item.

    So - 3 things...

    1 - I've clearly listed a heck of a lot of stuff
2 - I now need to wait until September before I list anything else!
3 - my office is going to continue to look like a jumble sale for a little bit longer....
  • I have just finished listing 7 items and that drove me mad. You deserve a very big gold star, Tllly x x x

Took a huge bag of stuff to the post office earlier and just as I was paying I received an alert on my iphone to tell me that the o/s payment from a sale a week ago had been made, so now I need to go there again, grrrrr

I wish people would just pay for the item straight away, no idea why they wait days and days.

Roll on the new calendar month, I hate my home office looking like a jumble sale. And, I'm desperate to get more items listed!!

Only a few more days and you can get back to listing... don't forget to keep a tally in September!

Thanks MRN - With the best will in the world I don't think I'll be listing anywhere near 100 items in September... I'm back at work now and am overseas on business for one week in a couple of weeks so I wont have as much spare time to do eBay - perhaps just on an evening....

Plus, After the initial find of wonderful items in the loft, I fear I will start to run dry soon.... I shall pace myself this time!

Thanks to another diary, I have just ordered some soap nut shells - a free trial, just had to pay 75p postage and packing. Have a google, they look pretty good and if they work it will be another little money saving trick.

London for a meeting tomorrow, will be nice to get out of the house, will make the most of it and have a little mooch around. London is usually a NSD for me, so thats good news.

And then, a week on Saturday I'm off to the States, there are usually no NSD's on this trip! However, I shall make the most of it and do a little bit of Christmas shopping etc while I'm there and pick up some things that are cheaper over there.... I'll do my best to try and be fairly sensible.

Haircut later this morning, I used to spend nearly £50 going in to town for a haircut, I now have a lovely lady come to my house who does just as good a job (actually, my friends have said she does a better job) and it only costs me £20 - and that's including the tip. I try and spread the haircuts out and just have it done every 12 weeks.

Loving my posh new hair..... I love it when she does it, I don't need to faff around with it afterwards trying to make it look "right".....

Pouring down with rain here, so need to stay inside so that I don't ruin my hairdo!
  • That's a good price for a ladies haircut. My OH goes to a really cheap place, really nice lady owns it. She offered to do mine for £12. I said later to OH I might give her a try after all the weddings... I don't want a disaster cut in wedding photos!

I tried my new lady by saying that my regular hairdresser was on holiday - this way if it all went badly, I wouldn't feel obliged to keep using her... She's a friend from the PFA at my sons school so it would have been embarrassing if I didn't use her again... Anyway, all worked out well as she's fab and she's a really nice person too which makes it all the better....
