Lulabelle's MFW Diary

My day took a total nose dive yesterday........
Some very sad/emotional made me feel terribly emotional but thankful to have a healthy family... and, my Mum's DH lost his job - which put a few things in to perspective.....
Thankfully today has been a nicer day. Whilst yesterdays awful news doesn't change, it was nice to see some sunshine and get out of the office for the day.
Pay day today.....(it came a week early - hurrah)
So, money shuffles complete and I've been really brutal with the saves and OP's. Not left us with any wiggle room, but really felt like making an extra push this month.
Still on track to be MF by the end of May assuming that we don't go down the route of my recent postings.... with which the jury is completely out on.0 -
That's pants Lulabelle - I hope things look up soon.

Thanks Fortune xx0 -
I seem to be living and dreaming spreadsheets at the moment.....
Budget for 2015 pretty much finished....revenue is usually the easier bit and the expenses a bit more tricky.... Hopefully it looks like we can continue on the same salary so long as we don't lose any clients etc.
Messed around with my personal spreadsheets to see whether the mortgage could be paid any sooner, but it's going to be a struggle to get it paid any sooner than May 2016, unless we come in to a windfall which isn't likely to happen! So, we'll do our best to stick with that date - unless of course we end up moving in which case everything totally changes.
The Christmas presents have started to arrive... must get some wrapping paper so that I can get them wrapped and stashed away.
The boys aren't in need of a "big present" this year, so it will be some games, books and a couple of toys along withe the obligatory PJ's, pants and socks.
We've just about finished the shopping for relatives - just the boys and each other to do now but I'm not in need of anything at all.... saving myself for the big 40 in March!0 -
Autumn/Winter has now truly arrived with frost on the car in the morning....
Christmas shopping is finished, just waiting on the last few deliveries to arrive. Everything is wrapped apart from the boys presents.
o/s Mortgage updated, now at £50,910 - should be able to get below the £50k mark at the beginning of December although there won't be much of an OP (if any) with all of the Christmas shopping to clear from the CC once payday arrives.
All quiet on the house move front - we've deliberated to and fro but it really depends on whether our neighbour actually makes the final decision to sell - so we've decided to try not to think about it for the time as we're not really in control as to whether the option will be there for us or not.
With no planned OP's for the December, it looks like we'll be adding a month to the current planned MF date, I'll leave the aim as May '16 though as we might be able to make up for it between now and then.0 -
Hi Lula :hello:
Go you on having bought all the Christmas pressies, that's great progress and a lovely position to be in. I'm not far off finishing and really must empty the present cupboard to remind myself where I am as I keep buying things for the little ones in the family and never know when to stop, aka can't resist
Your mortgage numbers are looking great oand just think, in 55 days you'll be able to say, "the mortgage will be cleared next year" :j

Agreed, it seems like a distant dream when we first embark on this journey, it's actually quite sad how the years slip by......0 -
