Just looked on the 2013 MFW thread - there are 140ish people taking part and so far a total of £775k has been OP'd - how amazing is that!!!!!0

Oh dear, feeling motivated to continue with the OP's now instead of trying to fill my ISA....0

I'm quite liking not having to transfer money around all the time, although I've been quite lazy and haven't bother to track my CC spends.. I keep an eye on the balance and have a look every few days to see if the transactions are OK.
We're only buying what we really need in regards to supermarket shops, so no matter how much I obsess, track, record etc etc, it's still going to cost us the same.
We've decided to allocate more money to going out. DH and I rarely have any quality time together, so we're going to make a point of going out more just the two of us for dinner or cinema etc - hopefully a couple of times a month. It will cost more, but there's no point in us being mortgage free if we drift apart in the mean time. So, happy to invest in this area!
Pay day tomorrow and it's been nice using the CC for spends as it means I've not felt totally skint for the last week.
Good plan Lulabelle - loaves and lilies :T

Off to see my lovely sister on Saturday - we wont get there until early evening but will stay until Sunday afternoon.
The men have asked whether we (sister and I)would like to go and do something....
We've both agreed that the men must have Grand Theft Auto on their minds (The new Xbox game, not boosting cars....).
Anyway, Sister and I have decided that we will do something that we have been thinking of doing for yonks - we're going out for cocktails. Could get messy. The men will be happy to take us and pick us up again if it means they can have uninterrupted xbox time.
Looking forward to our cocktail evening, just need to decide what to wear now....0 -
Pay Day - hurrah!
Called Nationwide and am waiting for an FA to call me back to arrange an appointment to discuss opening a S&S ISA.

Viewing was fine... We have further viewings booked for tonight and tomorrow afternoon, so that will give us a clearer idea. We thought we should look at a few before making any decisions...
Had a lovely weekend at my sisters - sadly she had a migraine so we didn't get to go out for cocktails
We did however manage to get up early (for us) on Sunday morning and went to a Car Boot. We both managed to get things for each others children for Christmas. Seems my sister is feeling very MSE too, so we agreed a budget of just £10 per person this year which I'm really happy about.
I spent 2 hours last night scrubbing, cleaning, shampooing, conditioning and brushing 10 my little ponies! Got the lot for £1.80 so it was worth the effort - they're looking fab this morning. I even set their manes around pens and medicine syringes so that they have a curl in their mane.
Next up - I need to wash 2 care bears (£1.20 for both) and a lovely cuddly pterodactyl (10p).
I've never been to a car boot in many years and actually really enjoyed it. I need to try and get a wrestling ring (WWF toy one - we managed to get him 4 figs yesterday which my sister got him for Christmas) for DS2 - so if anyone has one that they want to find a new home for let me know, lol!!!!0 -
That's brill! I've never been to a boot sale. Might do now! Wish my Sil would agree to a budget. She spends a fortune on my children (generally it's tat) and I look a right scrooge. Might try again this year. Loving the effort you made with the hair styling.
Hope you find a perfect btl. xMortgage Jan 13 99260.00 87253 April 2017

Thanks Muser xx
PS - keep trying with your SIL.... We've suggested economising in the past and it didn't go down well - this year it came from them (they are saving for a deposit on their first house), so I jumped on the idea like a tramp on soggy chips...0
