Yes, got a lovely Pink one here.......
  • Weather - hard to believe that just 4 days ago it was 30 degrees. I even popped the heating on last night for an hour, ridiculous behaviour!

Just updated my mfit challenge with o/s balance - think I'm on track at the moment.....

DS2 started school today - he looked so sweet in his little school uniform. He's only there for 2 hours though this week and next so need to shoot off to collect him soon.
  • Hi Lula

Just a quick hello for now as not been on here for what feels like ages. Work is always busy but wild at the moment so just popped on to submit my MFiT T3 update. Saw you'd updated yours too and looks like someone else has also submitted it for you too as you indicated there might be a problem?

Must find time at the weekend to update my own diary as I'm just leaking money at the moment re dentist, physio etc and not to mention decided to buy some new house furniture and have spend a few 000's

Trying to decide whether to put the furniture on 0% or use my 2014 ISA money I've got sitting. I know I said recently I thought I had 'too much' in savings and should do a big OP but I think I've put paid to that now. Oh, not to mention fully house decorating in a couple of months :eek:

Hope you are well and feeling ok about you little one starting school today, bet he looked so sweet

    Regards
    ATT

Hi ATT - thanks for popping in, nice to hear from you....

    Sounds like you're keeping busy!

Too much in savings is a terrible problem to have, feel free to PM me if you need some suggestions as to how to "invest it"..... !!!

(Given my past performance, if ATT does decide to take my tips on board, then it might be worth anyone reading this to buy a few Mulberry shares as they are sure to increase in value!)

I'd consider 0% if you've got a decent rate on your savings?

Little man looked adorable. He got on fine at school but was a bit miffed that he didn't get to play in the big playground with the big children. Reception classes each have their own small playgrounds until they're ready to be out with the big kids......

B2L - DH has fulfilled his side of the deal and done some work on the mortgage. He's also chatting with someone we know who works for an estate and letting agents... gathering some info. I really need to get on with looking at properties now I suppose.

Two things holding me back if I'm honest:
1 - Finding the time. DS2 isnt full time at school for 3 weeks so it's difficult to squeeze everything in to the day.
2 - I hate the idea of taking back some of my OP's - I know it's for a good reason but we're getting close to going sub 80k which I'm chuffed about and once we take the plunge we'll be more like 110k which sucks - big time.

That is still less than mine if it makes you feel better.

Indeed - she'll owe about the same as me - but with *two* properties :p

Two properties costing less than my larger mortgage

Glad wee DS has settled well into school lula, the P1s (where I work) seem to get smaller and smaller each year!

I wish I'd had the courage (and finances!!) a few years ago to B2L. My friend now has 3 properties (4 including her own house), and hasn't encountered too many headaches with tenants or repairs.
    February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
    MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D
    C'mon nattypants:cool:

Thanks for the reassurances folks. I guess taking back some of the OP's isn't so bad if it's being used for something like that - it's a step forward for the future but a step back for my OP spreadsheet. Anyway, I need to think long term and stop whittling and just get on with it!

Little man didn't want to go to school today - he was a total grump. Hopefully he cheers up a little bit. i need to pick him up at 11 and then take him to nursery for the rest of the day - that's going to be interesting. Preparing myself now for screaming ab dabs.
