what uggs were they?0

Bailey button over the knee (not that I would wear them that way) in Lotus brown which is a very dark choc leather. They were beauties but my DH said they were like Santa's boots and after that i just couldn't love them.0

Well, if it's any consolation, they're just slippers.
Ugg boots are the generic name for sheepskin slippers in Australia. It looks so weird when I see people wearing them to work in the morning.
 Don't they realise they've walked out of the house in slippers?!Borrowed £150,000 in an offset tracker mortgage in May 2007 - MFD May 2041 (67)

I'd wear my pyjamas to go out in if I could, but. Will just settle for going out in my slippers instead!0

Happy new year Tilly
LOL - hmmmm, well, a beautiful new bag may have found its way under my tree........ I got one from DH for Christmas, purchased from matches fashion in the sale. It was one that I loved but at full price I could never have justified. I struggled to justify with 40% off and it was in and out of the box a good 10 times a day and being carried around the house a few times before I finally decided that it could move in with me permanently!
I had some Xmas money (which I put towards it) and the Ugg boots were returned so thats kind of how I will justify it to myself......
Have been keeping a way from the website in the meantime though. The tough test will be on Saturday as I'm going away on business and flying from T5- not only will the Mulberry shop probably have some lovely items in the sale, they will also be duty free (eek) - so maybe I will just go straight to the lounge and avoid walking past the shops all together!!!!!
Wish me look, I will try and be an :A0 -
Happy New Year Everyone!
I've stayed away from the site over the Christmas period as quite frankly we were a little bit too indulgent and spent more than we should.
But, it's now a New Year and the focus on achieving our 2012 OP's can begin. January's OP has been made and logged on the 2012 thread. We're well on our way to achieving our goal for this year.
With a bit of luck and focus we might even be able to pay a little bit more if all goes well with the business in the forthcoming months. I'm touching wood as I write as you never can tell how things will work out and I don't want to get carried away with my optimism.
I'm away on business from Saturday, so have done some batch cooking and lots of cooking prep meaning that DH and the DS's will be kept with yummy meals and hopefully the need for DH to visit the supermarket will be reduced a little. I need to remind him that he needs to be sensible again with the shopping trips..... he got a bit carried away over Xmas!
I'm off to the States so will try and visit the Mall while I'm there to stock up on a few things that the boys will be needing over the next 6 months. However, DH managed to pick up lots of new clothes for DS2 in Tesco the other day. We've started potty training so we had no choice but to invest in lots of pants and joggers/jeans etc.
I purchased lots of Christmas presents in the Clarins sale - all of the gift packs had 30% off - think they are still available if you visit clarins.com So, they are all labelled and packed away in the loft. I will continue to save money each month for Christmas but its good to know that just about everyone apart from the kids and DH has been taken care of already.......
I indulged in a new dress for my meeting while I'm away - I could have made do with one from the wardrobe but to be honest it's an important meeting and a new dress will boost my confidence! Also, it was a bargain so I didn't go wild and spend too much. I will make do with one of my old dresses for the 2nd days meeting. Compromise!
I'm off to the cinema with DS1 shortly - on the kiddie special viewing, £2.50 for the 2 of us, so not bad at all.
On reflection, my indulgence was balanced a little bit with lots of home cooking over the last few weeks. Whilst our friends enjoyed copious amounts of takeaways and meals out, we enjoyed home made soups and stews which lasted for lots of meals/days and were economical to make, so I've not been totally unruly!!
Good luck to everyone, I will checking around the diaries to keep up my motivation.

A NSD, whoop whoop!!
O/s mortgage balance updated today and it's great to see it coming down. Very happy. Would be so great to get it under the 100k mark sooner rather than later.0 -
