no sadly - most shops only go up to an 8 so I have Next, Clarks (mostly the frumpy stuff) and specialist mail order to choose from. It is a good thing that shoes don't really interest me - I am more into comfort than fashion. If you are already 5'11" the last thing you are going to put on your feet is high heels, especially with the platform effect they all seem to have these days. I didn't manage a NSD as I bought drinks which cost £3.70, humph.
There's a lovely breeze blowing so I've got all the windows open to get some air flowing. It's lovely.
My early morning meeting for tomorrow has been cancelled so I don't need to get up early. It was with an existing client so all good. Need to spend the morning catching up, got a fair bit to do with being out of the office all day. If I get caught up then I think DH, ds2 and I will go our for some lunch as a payday/Friday treat.
Trying to decide what to do this weekend....... Spoilt for choice when the sun is out but I don't want to go anywhere that will be too crowded and/or full of chavs or beer drinking thugs.
We're off to a family quiz night with some neighbours tomorrow evening, should be fun.
Downside of having all the windows open is that I can hear the neighbours. Currently the three year old across the road is screaming her head off and it's annoying me. And I think I just heard a man across the road (different house) burp. Grim. I need to move and have a new house after all. Preferably just a house by itself with no neighbours.0 -
I know I shouldn't laugh, however I did at you hearing your neighbour burp:rotfl:
Probably karma will now get me with a load of travelling people moving into the field opposite my house...........February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Oh don't even get me on the whole travelling people thing. The local council have to suggest so many plots over year and they have suggested one near to our house. The consensus is that it won't happen as it breaches all of the rules they have in place, but some of my neighbours have got themselves proper worked up about it. I don't think it will happen, but I'm a bit of an optimist.
Child across the road is screaming louder and louder. I want to slap her.
On the bright side (There is always a bright side) I can hear church bells in the background. Oh, and no more burping.0 -
Church bells have stopped. Child is still screaming. It's the one that we're meant to be going to the mainly quiz with tomorrow. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.0

Glad no more burps...hopefully child will fall asleep shortly.
Thankfully, the land opposite my house is privately owned (by residents), so can not be used for any purpose other than neighbours squabbling on whether should be landscaped or left in natural state:cool:February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

That sounds fan natty, sounds like you have a perfect location. Well jel.
Child has stopped screaming, hurrah.
No more man burps.
Enjoyed watching the nick/Margaret programme - it's quite humbling when you see how hard some people work, long hours etc. DH and I both agreed that we are ridiculously lucky and are feeling very fortunate.0 -

But have you worked to get where you are now? I truly believe we make our own luck and fortune.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

None of us take for granted that is why we are attempting mortgage freedom at whatever levels of success.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
