Virgin Mobile Retentions

  • Few months to go for Virgin Mobile contract to be up.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 at the moment and I dropped it a couple of weeks ago and the screen is cracked. I know I have the free insurance but not sure of the Excess fee as S2 no longer on site.

s3 and newer excess is £150
galaxy fame and older excess is £70

    i don't really want an S3. I do like my S2.
So its either get it fixed or just hang on and save the excess and see what I can get offered by the Rententions team.

Anyone been offered a good deal ?

  • £70 excess on a Galaxy Fame :O jeez that is steep. It only costs £89 to buy it brand new and Virgin will probably send you a refurb.
  • Whatever the excess was for an S2 I would happily pay it.
But they don't do them anymore.

My contract that I took out in 2012 was for the S2 for £22 a month. That included

    Handset
    600 anytime mins
Unlimited calls to virgin mobiles and landlines
    Unlimited texts
    1gb of data a month.
    Free Insurance

I am thinking it may be cheaper and more practical to just get another S2 off Ebay
