Morning all.
FW I read your other post, I cant believe what you went through, good luck in court xx
Not raining here which is good as the wm will be doing overtime, looks like a good breeze.
Paid for office work this morning, walk the dog, housework and then off to see dad if I have time, this afternoon OH and I are off to the solicitors to get our wills done, we have done it during Will Aid month, so its a bit cheaper, tbh we could do without the expense, but its been worrying me that we dont have them, so its got to be done.
Saw dad yesterday, he was starving when I got there, (which he often is), his dinner arrived and it was a risotto, with peas carrots and celery, no protein at all, and although it was on a dinner plate, it was a tiny portion , so I complained to someone, and they bought him out another plate, he ate both of them all up, I had also taken him an apple and rhubarb crumble with double cream, which he also ate, and then they gave him sponge and custard, and he had one of my banana and rasin cakes too. The manager is on holiday but I am going to see her when she gets back, no one should be sitting there hungry time after time, I did tell the staff yesterday, and they said all he has to do is ask, but he has dementia and he wont make a fuss, we pay a lot for his 'care' and he sould not be hungry all the time.
Dinner tonight is a shoulder of lamb that my mum bought us :Tits huge, I would not normally buy one due to the cost, but mum treated us, she will pick dd up from work exp for me, and come back to my house and watch the dinner till we get back from solicitors, and then eat with us.
DD loved the work exp, but it has confirmed that she does not want to work with the elderly, so its been good for that at least, she is back today, and all week.
OK I have written an essay today.
Well done to Noah :T
Tappers, so glad you made the appointment, good luck. xx
Have good days all xx0 -
JG just to add that hospices can help with support, respite and day care if BiL isn't ready to be an in-patient - my mum used to go for massages & days out before she started to stay for "weekends away" and was later taken as an in-patient. Hope you & the boys are feeling better this morning.

Morning everyone
Cloudy, overcast, damp and the temperature has dropped here so chilly start this morning. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock.
Work was horrendous yesterday, computers kept freezing and going slow - not good when you have a queue of people waiting - but they were generally pretty understanding - I was more cross with the IT dept who failed to advise us they had decided to do back-up work on a Monday at the beginning of the month, which is always our busiest time!! Am doing a different job today so may still be busy but have more scope of what I can do if computers are not behaving!!
On the OS front, dinner last night was fish, chips/jacket pot, beans/veg I had the LO's from Sunday roast, tonight will be quickies as DS1 has rugby practice.
Have a great day everyone, hugs to those that need/want them, take care.

NPM - Well done Noah! You must be chuffed
No word from Scotland, so there must be no change in Gdad at the moment, which is good, and we know there won't be any improvement at all.
OH is doing a private digger job today, so can't take pup, he's got the car too, so hoping i can get away a bit early today so he's not on his own tooo long.
Have some raisins soaking in tea to make a tea loaf when i get in, and we're having a cheats prawn and chorizo paella for dinner. Lunch - OH has wraps and I will have a tin of soup i've got lurking in my drawer at work.
Need to get milk, garlic and maybe some bread today ( i want make my own, but we shall see...) More dishes to be done later and the bathroom needs a once over.
Have a lovely day all

Haven't read the thread for a few days, had DGD for three days. She has finally started to walk on her own at last! 20 months is a bit late, but she's so ahead in everything else I suppose we can't complain!:rotfl:
Did a gorgeous Sunday roast, so got enough leftovers for me to have another today. Had pancakes for breakfast with leftover yorkshire mix!
Hope everyone has a good day.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning all,
Thanks for the good wishes and advice, I will see my sister later and find out whats going on, and talk to her about the hospice. They have a fabulous palliative care nurse who does a lot for them, so I'll get her to talk to him about it, hthey really value his advice.
Feeling much calmer today, I obviously just had this working on me, I feel physically much worse, and will need to call in sick, but I have lost my voice, and the absence reporting line is voice activated :rotfl: I will be spending the day in bed. DS1 is going back to school, he very rarely gets ill, and seems to have fought this off really well. Or else it was all the hugs and soup yesterday.
Lou got taken back into the hospital last night, she is dehydrated, but is talking and texting, so its hopefully not too serious. I did pass on your well wishes.
JulieG, hope yoir day passes comfortably, wont be long to go now. X
Redruby thats awful, poor wee hungry dad x
Hugs to everyone else. I know I havent been mentioning birthdays etc. but I am using my phone these days and its a pain, although I have been wishing you all well.

bargainbird - Can I just ask, how do you do lasagne in the slow cooker? Do you just layer it all up as you would in a normal dish & then set it away? x0
