Old Style Daily Thread for Tuesday 8th November 2011
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Tuesday 8th November This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

    Hope everyone is well...
Havnt quite managed to grasp everybodys names yet but hugs to those who need it ... oh and I do remember JG hope you are okay.

OH has just left for work and has dropped a sack of parsnips off the side of the tractor... so it will be parsnip wine and parsnips for the freezer. DD2 loves parsnip chips.

I am going on the school trip this morning. With my circumstances the first thing the school did was have me CRB checked so every off site visit I can accompany the class. Its nice I love it. I dont get DD2's group but I am there if anything suspicious happens ;)

So I best get off to do these parsnips...

2 days until court... wish me luck girls. Theres a post in Relationships if anyone wants to know more....

    Huggles to all

  • Morning,

((hugs)) to JackieG my thoughts are with you xxx

I had a bad day yesterday, couldn't do anything... I was so dizzy, so just laid in bed all day! If I lifted my head the vertigo spun me round too much!

Seems this morning I am getting dizzy much earlier then normal, so I am going offline for a lay-down in a moment. Roo is now waking me during the night, so sleep is getting harder too, and the heartburn just started a few days ago with avengance. On top of the confusion caused by the Low BP I feel out of it all the time, my boys are pretty much fending for themselves at the moment...

I am going to get a loaf on (with the help of DH) and then rest until the afternoon school run.

Hope everyone has a great day x

    Jx

Good Morning Farmer's Wife, Bargain Bird, Julie G and All Who Follow x

I too wish you loads of luck Farmer's Wife, but dont think you will need it as you sound incredibly capable and versatile x

Jackie G - hope you and yours are feeling better. There seems to be a lot going around as DD had to come home from work last night as she has developed the same virus as Mooloo's DGD with aching arms and legs. Hope that DBIL is settled and the problem is easily sorted

I had such a busy day yesterday. I inadvertently seem to be on a one woman mission at the moment to "police" the disabled parking bay outside my local Post Office as it is greatly misused. Yesterday morning, I very politely asked a chap if he had a Blue Badge and he literally flew at me. My DD was getting my scooter out of the car and so didnt quite get how nasty this man was. However she heard raised voices and came straight to my rescue and really put this man in his place. He retreated good and proper!! It shook us both up and I dont like to think what would have happened if she had not been there.

Another busy day again with two appointments for me and one for Poppy to have her stitches out:T:T:T

Hugs for a good day xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Morning all,
I have a Dr app at 8.20 today because of the hosp phone call about the black spot found on my kidney, hopefully Dr can put my mind at ease. Hosp did say they want me to have a scan.
Today we have to move pots ect from the patio in readyness for the scaffolding to go up so we can start stripping the roof off. hope it stays dry. BM and WM on, loads of ironing to do, at least it will warm me up after being outside, it's so cold here.
Off for a shower but before I do I just have to say,
TAPPERS hope your DR will help you today.
JACKIEG Help is out there for your BiL ((hugs))

Hubby's been dropped at the station with his packup, fish fed, DW unloaded & breakfast eaten, any minute now I'm off to that place of joy called work.
I've defrosted some mince & tonight I shall make cottage pie & spag bol, so that's tea sorted for tonight & tomorrow, I looked after DGC's last night whilst DD went to collect a 2nd hand bike for DGD for £25, it's her main Christmas present & just needs a scrub up to make it look good. I'm still knitting mittens & scarfs, but I've nearly finished now.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning all!

    How is everyone? x

    Blooming dark today,

Scary day to today. We offically signing into the world of self-employment . Feels very scary, so spending the day sorting out tax codes, tax credits and redesigning a leaflet.

So in between doing the above, i feel sick now  with the thoguht, going to male some bread and think about what were having for tea.

Don't know about anyone else but i'm sick of putting the heating on to dry clothes. :( Everytime i put them they staying damp from the mist. wouldn't mind if it was frost as it helps take the rogue cats spray away.
No matter though, but from what i see on the weather channel and other sources it will be snowing here by the middle to end November and then it will sledging all the way!:j:j

Have a good day all, now where i put that number down hmmm

    Morning everyone,

    Wishing you luck Farmerswife.
    JulieG, take it easy.

It is really dark and miserable here this morning. Yesterday I had to walk home from work in the dark and the drizzle and it was horrible, hope it is a little more pleasant today!

Busy day at work today and then taking children here, there and everywhere this evening. At least I get to go to my ballet class later, a small bit of me time!

Tea tonight is left overs from the fridge and freezer so some strange combinations there.

Hugs to all that need them.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)
