I have a direct debit setup with vodafone, payments have been fine up until octobers where they just have not even bothered to take it.

Called customer services and even emailed them and said look you have not taken payment this month, the money is sitting in my account but can I get them to take it? noooopp It was due the 27/10 , I wonder if I will get a missed payment marker.

I have been pro-active and checked with my bank and they have not even swept for it. There service is great shame about the call centre and billing system.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

  • Methinks you're not alone!
  • Register and post on their eforum, it appears its the only way to get a decent CS rep.

Seems that quite a few companies are having rubbish support but a small good team on a web forum (talktalk is the same as Vodafone).

Dont spend the money, they are aware of the problem and will be collecting payments soon.

Is there any customer care center numbers. It is a urgent issue because at the end they may blame you that you didn't pay the payment correctly.

It is not an urgent issue, why should it be, Vodafone are aware of the problem and will be collecting the direct debits.

The payments are marked as creditted to the customers accounts and the service will not be suspended for non payment.

In law, EVEN with a DD, consumers remain responsible for any debt, whether or not the supplier remembers to collect it. Bearing in mind the way they automatically report payment matters to their Credit Reference partners automatically, leaves plenty of room for a less than perfect file through no fault of your own, UNLESS the company ensures this does not happen.

Keep checking, and if it isn't before the next invoice, find another method to make payment.

I wonder if a lot of people are affected, that there isnt any more posts on it. Will say apart from this had zero problem with the network.

I wonder why Vodafone official reps visited this board today but have not left any comments in this thread.

To cover their a$$ in case their erratic computer system reports defaults to CRAS?
