I use something like Pantene or V05 for every day use, but if I feel like my hair needs a treat or it starts getting too flyaway, I switch to the Aussie stuff. I would use it all the time if it was cheaper/0

Best shampoo and conditioner I've found for my hair are Dove - it's the only one that makes a real difference!0

Just wanted to add that if your ends are as dry as you describe you might want to look into CO washing. This method of washing means using conditioner not only on the lengths of your hair, but also on the scalp, as a substitute for your usual shampoo. (The "CO" stands for conditioner). Most shampoos contain harsh sulphates, which are very drying, so if you currently use a shampoo containing SLS, it will be making your ends far worse. Even if you don't want to CO wash, switching to a sulphate-free shampoo would help, too.
There are several threads about CO washing if you want to check it out:

I CO wash from time to time but I do find it needs a good scrub after a while but then I do colour my hair every six weeks or so, I find that even better than CO washing is stretching, slowly building up the length of time between hairwashes, with the aid of dry shampoo if necessary, the Tigi Superstar I mentioned in my previous is cone free as are most volumising/thickening products:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

Me too - I tried Ojon when they had the recent swop offer. It did absolutely nothing for my fine hair. Within an hour any styling had dropped out and my hair left in rats tail clumps - I was very disappointed. It only recovered when I used a clarifying shampoo.
I once bought some Philip B conditioner in TK Maxx - it was £20 for a big bottle and although I balked at the price - it was the best conditioner I have ever used leaving my fine hair with lots of body and movement and it smelt fab. I only needed to use a tiny amount to get the effect so the bottle last me months and months. Unfortunately non TK Maxx price it is horrendously expensive so can't stretch to it. If anyone spots it again in TK Maxx please post on here!0 -
has anyone tried moroccan oil stuff? i might put their travel essentials kit on my christmas list and see if i get lucky!
i did try a trial set from living proof and really didn't think much. it wasn't that it was bad, but just not worth the price.:happyhear0 -
oh I should have said, I prefer baby shampoo and the better conditioners, mild shampoo feels better on my hair and more cost effective too.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

I have to use the Aussie Miracle range on my hair, else it looks an awful mess. I use the Miracle Moist Shampoo, and 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deep Conditioner, which keep it looking nice.
Its inexpensive, and good value for mosey, as you only need a little of the product.0 -

I tried the original one @ the hairdresser and found it very good, then I bought Argan Oil on ebay thinking it would be the same but it's nothing like the one they put in the salon, so I'm considering buying the original one (expensive but it should last for ages)0
