  • Wife and daughter been on GG for well over a year with no issues.

I left T-Mobile when they started lying about mobile internet speed and have been very happy with the GG service.

I've been with the big networks over the years and GG are by far the best.

Thanks, that helps! I had been eyeing up tmob. because of the data they offered (would NEVER go back to three after what they put me through!) I chanced my mind because of the data issues which seemed a shame but as the saying goes "if it looks too good to be true..." so Giffgaff looked like my next best option. 02 had been a thought then I found out how bad my credit rating was an it would appear I am not allowed a contract anyway :o PAYG never seemed better! I just need a decent amount of money for a handset now...

I'm wanting to move to Giffgaff. I got my sim on Wednesday morning and I've been trying to activate it since then but it just comes up with "We're temporarily unable to activate your SIM. Please try again later"

The user-help suggests trying for a couple of days then requesting a new sim and trying with that one instead

So, it's not looking good move for me!!

  • I recently gave up after trying for ages without success to activate my carefully cut-down and filed-to-fit GiffGaff SIM for my iPhone 4S. Went for T-mobile instead at £7.72 a month 300mins/300texts 500mg data (but its unlimited off - peak) as I don't download much.

@neil402003 Hi there, SIM only deals are provided with free internet booster which provide 3G access, not HSDPA. Thanks <Rory>

So looks like speed capping on sim only plans is still happening:(

So ive only been with gg for a month but i'm more than happy with the £10 goody bag I've got. Everything was set up a piece of cake inc number transfer. Only thing ive noticed is that mms and premium rate numbers aren't included in the goodybags, so ive just added 10 quid credit just in case ( dont tend to do either of these though) which i believe doesn't expire until its used up if youhave a goodybag. Better coverage where i am than with voda and a lot cheaper than the £35 a month i was paying considering i probably only used 60 minutes a month.
