I am
I can't stand going away and leaving things messy, and since I'm going to be away for over a month (bar 5 days when I'm back for my exam) I knew it would drive me crazy if I left things untidy!
I've done most of the sorting-y bits now, only things left to sort out is my wardrobe (which I keep putting off because I hate doing that, and it's going to be a good hour due to my inability to hang things up properly
) and pack all my stuff up. I'm going to do them on Sunday I think - might pack a few things tonight before bed but I really should go to sleep as I have to be up at 9, I'm helping out at an old persons tea party run by the uni and will need to be there at 10.
£10 put on the gas/electric today, we've got £45 on the gas for over Christmas so the pipes don't burst, housemates only want the heating on for half an hour a day which I think is far too little
May have to force the point a bit because it's a big old terraced house and my radiator - which isn't the highest one in the house - takes a good 20 minutes to heat up, the girl who lives above me says hers takes longer than that so half an hour a day is not going to be good enough! Thinking an hour in the morning (about 7am) and an hour at night (about 10pm) should be ok?
Got 5 watchers on my ebay auction, I've been a bit sneaky and bought some nail varnishes that are coveted in America and put them on ebay - I really hope they sell because they are lovely polishes but I already have a bottle of it so I don't need more! If they don't I'm fairly certain I could sell them on FB. In February I think - to give me time to play with all the ones I know I'm getting for Christmas
- I'll put a lot of them up on ebay/FB to clear some room and get a bit of cash in.
Gah, I want it to be the 19th NOW! Hehe. I also want people to stop talking about how the world is supposed to end on the 21st, I know it's all nonsense but I suffer from anxiety and one of the biggest triggers for me is that there will be a massive catastrophic event and I'll be alone and scared. It's complete bull poo but there's a little voice in my brain that says 'What if?' any time it comes up
Also need to get the landlady to check the fire alarms, I'm a little concerned that my one may not work as the girl who lives on my floor is constantly setting hers off by spraying deodorant anywhere in her room and I can stand under mine spraying it for a good full minute with no effects.

Lazy Sunday after a bit of a drinking sess with one of my housemates yesterday, whoops. First time in a long time and whilst I don't really get hangovers (you know something bad has happened if I have a hangover!) I still feel a bit bleh! No more drinking for a while! Save myself some money too, lol.
Going to hoover, rejig my packing a bit (decided now that actually, I don't need to take one of the big boxes home with me - it's not a present and actually I can use it as a temporary light box for my photography so it's a bit pointless!) and shower. Hoping to do some more clickworker tasks today - I've got 13.20 euros waiting to cash out on Wednesday and I would love it to be at least double that! Need to do a blog post too, and take photos for it. Fun times
NSD so far today! Unfortunately yesterday wasn't, it really wasn't, but the less said about that the better! There was talk about getting a takeaway tonight.... I'm really craving spring rolls

Hey ho
It's been hectic! I hope you had a good christmas! I did
Nail varnishes on ebay didn't sell but I'm planning on selling a few on fb soon as I need some money and I have too big a collection right now.
Had a bit of a sobering evening - checked my bank account and I'm now £600 into my OD even though I had a £110 cheque paid in on Christmas Eve
Now going to go through my spending since September and work out how much I've spent on food, clothes, frivelous things, rent, electric/gas etc.

Well today has been good money wise - returned a £37.50 bag that I bought in the sales as I realised that it wasn't as nice as I first thought and it was impractical (wouldn't fit my laptop in, and if it had, it probably would've damaged my back carrying it like that anyway!). So that's gone back in. Good thing too... Added up everything I've got in (bar student loan) since October = £1100 ish. Added up everything I've spent since the start of October = £2300
Feeling thoroughly ashamed, and I'm going to go through the nail varnishes that I have at home (which I haven't touched since September!) and see if I can sell any of those on my blog/various facebook groups.£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0 -
Nail polishes are up for sale, I've relisted the two that I bought for ebay that didn't sell (and if they don't sell again, they'll go on the blog list too).
Too much work to even think about doing anything else MSE today - however I have found out that I can download word documents onto my new Kindle Fire so I'm going to transfer as much of my revision for my exam as possible to that and read it in bed at night, I find it much easier to read it like that than on a print out or computer screen.£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0 -
God, what a dreary horrible day!
Went shopping this morning, I was very good and only spent about £5 - £2.75 on my card as I didn't have any change and £2 out of my purse. First spend since... Boxing Day I believe as my bag was refunded!
I've got to crack on and tidy up my bedroom as my sister and her fiance are back tomorrow for NYE, it's going to be a cosy family night in - me, my OH, my Mum, my sister and her fiance. Unfortunately my Dad has really horrible shifts this year and worked Christmas Day/Boxing day, home for two days, and back the day before yesterday until the 2nd
But we can have an extra drink for him I think! £2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0 -
Happy New Year! Here's to a fab one! Going to be an exciting year for me...
April - my dissertation is handed in (which I haven't really started yet, eep) and I attend my last few lectures of uni EVER!
May - My 23rd birthday and I'm going to see my favourite singer on his UK tour
June - Move away from uni
July - My sister gets married and I graduate!
A few resolutions for the year...
1) Lose about a stone, through fitness and eating healthily.
2) Run a 5k and possibly a 10k race
3) Really commit myself to my degree and make sure that I get the 2:1 that I deserve, even though it's not been going great and it's been a struggle so far
4) Post more on my blog
5) Be more money savvy and save more!
And some aspirations for where I want to be this time next year...
I'd like to be in a job that I enjoy. Living with my OH. Out of debt and in the black, saving a little bit every month. Maybe a car driver and maybe looking to start saving for something about 15.2 hands high, fluffy and rideable...!
What are you planning for the next year?£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0
