Is the :spam: button still working?

It only used to take a few posters (I'd guess at less than half a dozen) to click the button and the post would disappear.

Now, it doesn't seem to matter how blatant the post is, nothing seems to happen at all. Sure, the :spam: icon sits there but the posts never disappear now. I have gone back to clicking the 'Report' button instead.

The spam button is still working. The icon is just to let you know whether or not you have personally already marked a post as spam.

I understand why the icon is there, my question was really a matter of why clicking now has no effect.

I assume the sensitivity has been reduced (ie far more 'clicks' are now required)? Possibly it was abused in some way if a small-ish number of posters were able to get a post removed?
