oo to both bills, can u try and c if you can get payment schedule for tax credits xx
It's on my list of things to do today!
I am off to Co---Op in a mo to get some reduced to clear goodies, I love those yellow stickered goods.
Managed to get
4 x packs of olives
8 grain elevenses bars
a 4 pack rice crispie squares
a loaf
a pack of 20 shortbread cookies
a pack of doritos
a jar of thousand island dressing
A pack of mini crossants
a pack of crumpets and
a pack of muffins
All for £6.77 BARGAIN!!!!
It's my final day off before I am back in work tomorrow and I really want to make it count.
Just sent an email to my Dad, who keeps arriving at my home unannounced with about 4 other people from his new partners family expecting to be fed and entertained without warning. He really got angry when I broached it with him 3 months ago that he should give me some warning ( he lives a 4 hour drive from me) he felt he shouldnt have to, tried to talk to him about it again last night to no avail, a very angry dad, so sent him an email this morning which I copied my sisters and his new partner into. I honestly dont think that asking for advance warning should be such a problem! Let's see what happens, it's alot of extra expense feeding all those people for a few days! I do enjoy seeing them, just want some say in when it happens.
Off to walk the dogs now or as it's known here (whispers) 'thing the things', oo they are clever, they can spot the intention of a walk 15 mins before it happens and go crazy!
Have a great day all xxxxxxxxx
Well I didn't do half of what I intended today, although I did put up some curtains with the help of Mr R, I did finish my book, so now I am going to start on The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey, really looking forward to it. Managed to root through wardrobes and found about £50.00 of stuff to go back to Primarni, I wont get cash but they will pay for Son#1 for his birthday!!!vintage43:A

Bit of a flat day today, took all the things back to primark and even though I didn't have the receipt they let me swap all the items i had, so I got birthday pressies and Christmas pressies from things I would not have used, £62.00 in total and got alot of things reduced so my kids will think I have been super generous.
Not alot else, feel a bit like hibernating, it's gone really chilly here xvintage43:A

EEEK! Fell off the wagon today, 4 pairs of shoes for work, needed as I only have flip flops or boots at the moment, some leggings and an M&S lunch, only £4 but twas lush. Now need to panic about pennies again, the shoes were only £47 with the leggings so not too bad I suppose!
All is not lost, the leggings dont fit neither do two pairs of shoes, and one pair that came from age concern, would I be able to take something back that I had bought from a charity shop or would I be struck down in flames, they were £4.99????vintage43:A

I returned all the stuff to Primark, apart from two pairs of shoes which fit. I didn't try to return the shoes to age concern, might try Monday if I'm feeling brave. I did call Child Benefit though to see if son#2 is still eligable for CB as his payments stopped some time ago but he's still in full time education for the next two years, they will reinstate it as CB, Maitenance and Child Tax credits stop on a childs 20th Birthday if they are still studying, useful to know. So there should be a teeny tiny backpayment on its way!! Also sent off for copies of my taxcredit award and copies of my wage slips so I can resubmit the claim for council tax benefit as we were turned down due to lack of evidence submitted. Off to Cheshire in a bit, after a home hair dye, to catch up with the family back home xvintage43:A

Well we had a great weekend, watched other half sing at a festival with son#1 and his girly, free food and drink cos we were with the singer. Went to see aging Uncle and also some other family, then go a surprise at the festival as loads of old school friends were there. On Sunday caught up with some friends for luch, cuddled babies and patted new puppys, a lovely weekend.vintage43:A

YEY!!!!! A NSD!!!!
We have spent the day pulling all the ivy off the front exterior wall, only to reveal that all the mortar is crumbling and some bricks are actually being pushed out, oh! and some whopping spiders, so it looks like it's going to be expensive to get the walls repointed and then perhaps have a weatherproof seal over the new mortar.vintage43:A

Another NSD today, feeling quite good about it. I,m feeling more postive about starting to cut back, I need to find some inspirational thrift threads to keep me motivated. I'm just about to call taxcredits to agree a payment plan, I may write to them actually as I have had trouble getting through. Also I think the front of the house is going to need quite alot more spending on it, my builder came out yesterday, he's a family friend so I trust what he says and should have the quote by tonight. I have applied for the Tesco free insulation using the MSE code, lets see what happens ....vintage43:A
