have had no contact with them at all soon as i got first letter i googled it and came up with this site glad i did have boycotted kfc since as well !0

Don't get me wrong. I support the boycott but the only problem is, traders are all slimebags - no exception. There's no genuinely friendly business among those who welcome you simply to take your money. KFC make a packet with every sale.
Well, if this court case does happen, remember to tear into them as to why you owe them a penny. "Oh you were the registered keeper" is not a valid response since they neither know whether you received the letters and nor has it been your obligation to speak to them on the identity of the driver.
..."And despite this, you still claim I owe you £435?"...
turn the tables, have it look at if they are the respondent.0 -
The kfc in question only has about half a dozen cars in at any one time and there are prob 20 odd spaces its on the outskirts of town not in centre i really dont see why they need to have a scummer sorry scammer running the car park not the sort of place you would even think of looking for parking notices! Bad enough you have to pay for the awful food but my sons love it.0

Because if they can make a few hundred quid a week off this place combined with several other car parks in the vicinity then it is worth paying someone minimum wage and and sticking them in a small van to drive around dishing out invoices! The KFC franchise may be on a kick-back from the PPC and then everyone's a winner!
I can't beleive Civil Enforcement are dishing out filled in N1 forms to scare people.... very naughty. I would inform both Trading Standards and the OFT!0 -
I was shocked thought it was legal at first glad i found this site! there is no claim no or seal on it should i put it on forms sticky to warn others ?0

Actually, if this is a continuing new tactic on their letter chain then yes, it probably should go on the sticky... post it up and Crabman will sort it. Don't forget to wash the personal stuff and references off first.0 -
Make your complaint via Consumer Direct (they will pass it onto the relevant Trading Standards). You can do so online - Click hereThanks for info think i will report to trading standards can i do this online?
Via their 0845 number - 0845 04 05 06 (9-5 Mon-Fri)
Or a geographical number - dependant on your region - which can be found here
Make sure that you impress on them how you were very nearly fooled by this practice and were it not for advice from an online forum you would have been completely taken in.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Been 5 or 6 of these lately which have been posted here/CAG/PEP so I imagine a few more floating around! They are certainly looking for trouble!0

Under Section 40 of The Administration of Justice Act 1970
(1) A person commits an offence, with the object of coercing another person to pay money claimed from the other as a debt due under a contract, he—
..... (d) utters a document falsely represented by him to have some official character or purporting to have some official character which he knows it has not.
This unissued court claim form has apparently been falsely represented to the OP as an official court claim in an effort to con him into payment. This is clearly a breach of s40 and a criminal offence. It should definitely be raised with Trading Standards.0 -
Take a look at post #8 on the following thread from last year relating to a case OPC lost at court.
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2749802
The following was the view expressed by the DJ hearing the case and is of relevance to the comments now being made here:-
Fake court papers were described as legitimate copies of papers to be prepared and that it was a valid tactic by debt collectors.
Read it and weep!0
