Likewise and I always pre book my seating to ensure an aisle seat without an IFE box at my feet. If travelling with the Mrs we sit across the aisle from each other as neither of us take window seats or want to suffer the middle seat. :)

We do this too. Much better to both have an aisle. It can be worth asking at check in if the flight is full and could they block a seat between you if there are rows of 3.

An aisle seat in a middle block near the back can also result in spare seats on a flight that isn't full. Ive managed 4 seats to myself a few times doing this.

You're one of those fat people that needs - But refuses to pay for - 2 seats aren't you?
'Fraid not - I'm on the slim side.....but I was recommended to do this years ago by a friend who was a steward on long haul. Never thought twice about it since. I like men actually - but I prefer the extra space I get when I can do this. I believe (don't know if it's still true, but it seems to be) that there are always at least two spare seats on EVERY flight for police detectives who might turn up at the very last minute?
