You certainly looked fab in the pics on fb
For me, addressing the way I looked, after my life changed (and of course I know it is different to your stuff, but was still "big" for me!) had a massive impact on the way I felt and the confidence I gained came in spades.
I still have wobbles - both physically as well as emotionally - of course, and some days I do wonder if I will ever have all the confidence that I would like.....but when I compare it to the years gone by and the low levels of confidence and self esteem I had then, it is amazing!
My "must do's" are:
1. Always wear matching, lovely, underwear - ok, chances are no one will see it (ever hopeful, lol) but I *know* it is there. Makes a huge difference!
2. Always have my eyebrows in good shape, and keep up with my leg waxing.
3. Wash and blowdry my hair every day.....even if I am not intending on going out. The "pull a brush through and hope it looks ok" thing really isn't good enough for me any more!
4. Wear make up every day - even if it is just a bit of mascara and eye liner...no need for the full slap, but enough to make me feel as though I am ready for anything!
5. No longer have slobby clothes - I can feel comfortable and relaxed at home on the sofa and still look good if someone comes to the door!
I have to say that I stick to these rules quite rigidly. My mother says I am high maintenance nowadays.
I say, hell yeah - I am worth itSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
bit of a heavy head this morning...oops..so a easy day planned
Thanks everyone for your lovely words..
Hypno..I totally agree with you on all counts about your must dos and thank you for the comment about my FB pic.I had a style advisor in Evans help me and she was a real star bringing me lots of different outfits and I got 2 nice going out outfits and a coat and some shoes but will take the shoes back as they are too small...I got quite a few compliments last night which was nice too and boosted me.
I can definitely follow 2-5 on your list but no 1 is hard at the moment due to my big belly so no nice knickers yet and having the one boob smaller than the other...that will come in time as I need to have a BMI of 29 before I can have my corrective surgery but am working on that with the weight loss...it's a work in progress0 -
taxi I am sitting here with a big grin on my face - well done you !
You need to change the title of your thread to 'taxi- absolutely fabulous '
