Hi Taxi, I've been back from holiday for a week or so, but not come back here yet - so sorry to hear this, I really hoped it would be a false alarm ... they're saying its a recurrence? awful. But maybe (trying desperately to find some sort of positive here) your weight loss will work in your favour. You've done a lot of work on that, and I'm hoping it will help you. Many, many positive vibes to you, and I'll be popping back regularly ... 20th August for the scan... I hope they get a cancellation and you can hop in there sooner. One thing I *do* know about (for a much less serious illness) is what its like to be allergic to a dressing - I had a cyst on my back earlier this year, had to have the dressings changed every day for a while, it was huge, and I was allergic to the 2nd dressing, it was horrendous, completely sleepless night. Hope its okay now, and it hasn't sensitised your skin.

thanks KC..it didn't help that I think I developed an allergy to the steri strips as well as they were stinging and itchy too and it was a relief when they were removed.Am feeling a lot better today and managed to drive the car to WWs this morning...I hadn't been for a month and have put 7.5lbs on but will concentrate now on trying to lose weight again..I have to have some sense of normality at the moment or else I'll go crazy.
Not been up to much as still have some pain but getting better each day.

I can understand you want some kind of normality, absolutely. Haven't you got any painkillers, or would you rather not use pain relief at this stage?

I thought it was something like that but wasn't quite sure...There were two next to the back door last week and then one this morning right next to my computer on the floor...my computer is nowhere near the front or back door.I thought the ones by the door were a symbol but sort of dismissed them due to where they were but the one by the computer was a different matter as there was no reasoning for how it got there...all 3 were white feathers..off to read up about it.
Strangely, last time I had cancer there were feathers in the house a couple of times but they stopped once I was better...coicidence or greater force at work x
