Thanks everyone ..it's so lovely to log on and see so many of you here.
Well went to see surgeon today and will be having my surgery 25th July.
I got the distinct feeling that they would've liked to have done it really quickly and he asked where I was going on holiday. When I answered Bulgaria and told him the dates he was working out with the nurse about drains etc etc and then said best do it after holiday then.I think if I'd been holidaying in this country then he'd have done it before I go away as I would have access to hospitals here.So he decided it was definitely safer to do it after coming back.
It's a little bit more complicated than I thought as due to having had radio therapy previously within that area I may suffer complications eg;infection, slow healing and it may need packing hence the reason for not doing before holiday. As usual I'll just cross each bridge as I come to it and hopefully there won't be too many.
Plan is to go in at the scar and remove it all and examine and that's all I know at the moment.
I'm going to try not to worry about(easier said than done) and try to eat healthily, plenty of protein and fruit/veg to help for when healing and I'm definitely going to enjoy my holiday as I'll need some happy thoughts if I need to go through chemo again.
Thanks everyone for being there, you really don't know how much it means to me and how lovely for some old timers coming on and giving your support xx love you all xx0 -
