Just popping in to meet Ben, hope you don't mind. I thought I'd hang around in the hope of some photos.....
He sounds delightful and lovely that he and Tess like each other. Tomorrow will be so exciting for you!

I don't have any photos yet.I will try to get some tomorrow.
Does anyone know how to post photos on here?
If so please could you post simple instructions for me0 -
Taxi what a brillaint last few days. Really pleased that you sound so upbeat
And a new addition to the family too!!!! Aaaaw what a lovely thing to do.
As for posting pics, I upload mine first to photobucket, then I copy the one I want to put on here, click on the little icon above that looks like a mountain, it's the insert image icon and a box appears. Then click paste and your photo should appear. I have to delete in the box first were the letters 'http' appear then when I paste my picture in I have to delete the letters img at the beginning and end also but that's how I do it
:rotfl:If I was reading that explanation I'd have no idea what it meant! Sorry it's probably not too clear but hope it helps.
Well done on the ww. decision too, sounds like you made the right choice
Hope all is well with the fur babies
Take care

I wll look in to photo bucket and try to do the photos but will probably be a few days as need to get the dogs settled...Thanks Dizzie for the instructions.I think I understand them.
I'll be picking Ben up at lunch time today and can't wait.I need to pop to the cash machine and shops this morning as don't want to leave them on their own at all until I know they can be trusted.
You'd have laughed at Tess last night. I'd bought Ben some high feeder dishers yesterday so went to get the box out of the car to build the stand ready for today.Tess got so excited sticking her nose in the box and wagging her tail(they are just like her dishes) and then she was running between both sets of dishes looking in each set looking for food and when she realised they were empty and she wasn't get any she gave me such a dirty look, plonked herself on the floor and sighed..she's like a stroppy teenager...LOL
I swear sometimes she's more human than dog.0 -
How funny Tess is! She will still think they're her bowls even when Ben arrives. I'm sure she'll be the perfect friend and let him use her crockery though.
I'm really excited for you too. Big hug for Tess and Ben!

Thanks Piquant.Tess is a real character and is a fantastic dog.
Yesterday, when the guy came to do the house inspection I served him some mini chocolate rolls and ginger cake. She sat next to him getting stroked and when he was going to leave my husband put the remainder in a plastic bag for the guy to take home with him.The guy proceeded to put them in his bag and Tess barked at him as she was most put out that he was taking them away. That was after him being kind to her and bringing her a treat of liver cake which she didn't want to know about once there were chocolate cakes out. She's a proper woman when it comes to chocolate and it has to be out of reach or else she steals it and unwraps it by herself before consuming it...as I say more human than dog.0 -
We passed the home inspection and we will be bringing Ben home tomorrow lunch time.I'm so excited.

Brought him home at dinner time and he's been such a good boy.He was brilliant in the car and then we met Tess on the park so that they could walk back together rather than him just going straight in.We had a walk in the park where he scented everywhere then on to some enclosed wasteland so that I could test his recall,he came straight back when called which is good.
He definitely needs some lead work on a normal collar and lead as he pulls a lot.He wasn't to bad on a gencon lead but he kept trying to pull it off his nose.
They came in the house, played for a bit, chewed their bones, ignored their new toys and both are asleep now.
Ben is into everything and follows us everywhere and is puppy like in many ways even though he's only 2 but he'll learn given time and patience.0 -
