It will drive more people to not working. Frank Field had all this worked out years ago when he was asked to think the unthinkable. He compared it to a marginal rate of tax in excess of 100%.

Big hugs to you Taxi. :grouphug:

Hugs Taxi - you don't deserve this hassle - I'd like to see the people that make the decisions about payments have to live within those decisions themselves - bet they would soon have a re-think.

Please please apply for DLA as soon as possible, it should cover the shortfall and it'll help with the medical towards supporting your case not to go into a work group.

There has been lots of publicity about this change, with petitions and campaigns happening everywhere, but until someone like Taxi spells out what it actually means to them in real life, it doesn't always hit home. Sadly it is too late as the reform has been agreed and people are suffering everywhere. I am not sure where or when it will end, but whilst the members of the cabinet are not touched by it in anyway, I can't see it ending anytime soon :(

I had heard mutterings about the reform changes but did not know specifics ... Which is deff my fault as i shouldve been more aware ... I dont think anyone couldve changed it though (sadly) ... I've been ranting about this to a few people since i found out ... None of them knew either ... We are allowing these people to make changes far too easily ( and i fully include myself in that )

Hey El, I wasn't pointing the finger at you :o I was including me in my statement! It is only when someone points out exactly how it is going to effect them that you realise what is happening and how disgusting the reforms are but by then it is too late.....although I agree their minds had been made up and they would carry them out no matter what was said :(
