I remember one July weekend in 2010 where a certain lady and her DD literally fell out of Smashedbooboo’s car onto my drive having had a horrendous journey down the M1 lasting some xxx hours or more!

I had finally got to meet this inspirational and legendary lady who had been there for posters since I joined DFW and has remained so after....and also set a real life standard for family values and taken the time to support others on the internet, despite her own issues.

She had just had her cancer diagnosis...and I have vivid memories of her and DD sitting on my patio and her “holding court” in defiance of what had happened whilst the roast potatoes were passed round!

It was a DFW special meet for “thev darn Sarf”..and I’m so glad that people now posting on this thread remember that weekend and acknowledge the priviilige we all had of meeting such a wonderful lady

Oh brave brave Taxi – farewell my friend. You have fought so hard – sleep peacefully now free from pain. Despite everything you were battling with, you always found time for a kind word of support for the rest of us and retained your dignity love and support for your family, friends and all DFW’s.

To her family ....words of condolence will have to suffice but I feel they are inadequate. Anne was truly one of life’s diamonds....I am so very very sorry for your loss.

Rest in Peace Taxi73 my friend......You have been an inspiration and example to many....and you have left a legacy that any of us who knew you, be us family, friends, or internet friends can only try to emulate

So sorry to hear this sad news but Taxi is out of pain and at peace now, bless her. Despite her own problems she still popped onto my diary with support when my Mr 3Dogs was diagnosed with cancer and died after a 4 month struggle

She was, and is, truly an angel :A

Just catching up with recent messages and it is so wonderful to see so many and from both 'old' and 'new' faces. This is a true testament to the impact you had on all of our lives Taxi - whether it be 7 years or 7 days that we have 'known' you for, the words of everyone are beautiful. xx

I was lucky enough to meet Anne once , she was the same on this forum as she was in real life,

One of the worlds good people

She posted on my first thread many years ago with friendlyness, warmth, compassion, support, help and understanding. as she also did do for many people,
and also replied to few other threads or posts, with a slap round the earhole (when needed - I got a few).

I hope the angels tip well in heaven Taxi xx
