The weather was absolutely glorious yesterday so we drove a few miles up the coast to St Annes. There was a kite thing on which we stumbled across and the kites were amazing..there were allsorts..gigantic dogs, horses, superman, unicorns, ladybirds etc etc..our favourite was the big dog which took ages to inflate and get in the air.
Then we went along the beach and he went on the bouncy slides. We then walked along the prom where he and DD2 went on the boats which DD2 didn't thank me for as they were pedal boats...oops but we couldn't back out as we said he could have a go.
Poor grandma was becoming tired by this point so we sat outside the cafe(which is an old train carriage) JJ had a big chocolate cupcake and milkshake and DD and I had a drink each..it was lovely sat in the sunshine in short sleeves. We then had a little walk a bit further up for trampolines and kids rides by this time I was totally exhausted and our parking time nearly up..the walk back to the car felt very long and I just about made it and had to have a short rest before driving back.
The exhaustion from radiotherapy is definitely beginning to set in.I was not meant to start looking after him until the end of May but dil who was looking after him is due her baby at the end of May and is exhausted so said I'd start having him from now..not really right to have him yet but we'll be ok and he understands I don't have much energy at the moment.
Today we are taking it easy and he's on grandads computer at the minute playing games..the weather is awful and he's happy on the computer so I can have a rest for a while..
Wish I could find some energy though0 -
Give it time Taxi - your strength will come back but not if you over do it, frustrating though it is.
I was in Ansdell yesterday. I'd turned up to ring the bells at St Joseph's church, but had been told the ringing was 6:00 til 8:00. It wasn't - it was 4:00 til 6:00. Still, I enjoyed the excursion!!!

Kites sound wonderful.
It's so hard when your head and body don't agree on energy levels. I keep thinking it should be mind over matter but it's not. You will get there...slow and steady my friend.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
That's JJ fed, dressed and on his way with his Mum...time to recover now until I do it all again friday.0

Agreed :kisses3: mind over matter only goes so far, you have to listen to your body. You'll get your energy back, of course you will.
