Glad you had a good day, Taxi - quite a few Mother's Day treats there :) and putting the other two that *didn't* contact you into a box that can't upset you is a good idea **hugs**.

I'm full of admiration for you changing broadband supplier - I work on getting a good deal, but I wouldn't dare change supplier, the connections seem to be terrible at first, it feels awful to me to do that!

And oh my word, the issue here right now ... blizzarding snow! Argh! Its very light, its not even sticking on the roads round here, but still ... its not nice out there! And its not even 24 hours since I potted up my new fruit trees!

Sorry Karma it must've been the way I wrote it or lack of info on my part regarding the broadband.I am with o2 for broadband and phone and have been for a number of years due to liking their service etc unfortunately they are selling to Sky which I'm not happy about. The tranfer over to sky should be taking place in 12/18 months but when I phoned o2 they gave me 12 months BB for free so I'm still with o2 for now at least.

I don't want to be with anyone else but obviously will have to change at some time if I don't like Sky or they break the contract...I like o2 the speeds I have now, their uk call centres, the freephone number etc etc but really worried about it changing but will have to cross that bridge when I come to it.

Oh gotcha! A freephone number would be brilliant for when there *is* trouble, I agree, absolutely. And 12 months free bb *is* brilliant, no two ways about it :rotfl:I'm with Virgin for broadband, and I don't trust them at all if the least thing goes wrong, they're completely useless, they'll lie and lie and lie ... usually, thank heavens, the actual provision is fine, even if its very slow.

That reminds me of one time when Dr Dragon phoned them as we were having connection problems, they tried to say that MR Dragon had done something wrong (getting his title wrong - not a good start), they eventually said they would need to send someone out to solve the problem MR Dragon had caused - Dr Dragon then said *coldly* that he was a computer systems adminstrator (namely more computer savvy than the person they would be sending out :rotfl:) they then suddenly discovered "a local problem" and removed some money from our bill :p
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup :D

    Xmas Saver!
I was with AOl for 6 yrs but the service just got worse over the last couple of yrs, I literally only ended up staying as I was paying £7 per month, I lost count of the number of free months that i had.
The last incident I told them to stick it, - the router was faulty - but they wanted to send an engineer out at cost of £100, then pay for a new router as apparently I have the wrong router.... one they sent.

now with BT - only been 2 mths so can't compain yet!! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

I'm with BT and I know I pay over the odds but been with them for 10 years + and never had any problems. When my router died, they just sent me a brand new one without any discussion, and a couple of years ago, when I complained that new customers were getting great deals but old, established loyal customers weren't, they dropped my monthly fee.
As I'm self employed and work from home, it's vital I don't have any service problems.
    I'd recommend!
