    Blimey Taxi, you've done loads!

"Slept a lot today but then went out bought a new external hard drive and managed to set it up,back everything up,create a system image and a repair disc...and was quite proud of that.

Then I've hoovered down stairs, washed up,done some washing and drying and cleared and cleaned my computer work space. Also used some compressed air to clean the fan on my computer as it was noisy."

    :eek::eek::eek:
And you think I did a lot because I went to the shops for an hour and spent 15 minutes trundling about with a wheelbarrow!!! Thats amazing, what you've done!

Your sleeping does sound way out of kilter, Taxi - and I know from experiences with clients that it can be very draining, isolating too. I think it might be a good idea to pull it a bit more in line with the rest of the world. I'll have a bit of a think about that ...

Still not been to bed yet but so far have managed to do a lot of my tasks but am flagging a bit now.I've stopped for a rest and a cuppa.

    So far I've

    done 2 lots of washing
    washed pots and put away
    scrubbed kitchen sink and drainer
    washed dog bowl stand
    polished down stairs
done mirrors in both living rooms and bathroom
    cleaned bathroom
    hoovered down stairs
put a lot of stuff away in cupboards
found a lot of papers for the accounts and put in a neat pile ready to sort
scrubbed and sorted kitchen window sill

Can't do much more as DD is in bed as she's not at work until 2.30pm and at that time DH will be in bed..so will need to wait until 5pm when nobody is in so that I can do the rest of the upstairs jobs and the stairs.

May have a walk to the bank in a bit before DH comes home.

Thanks KC...it's a bit of a catch 22 situation at the moment as I don't have a routine.I sleep really well once asleep and need to try and stay awake all day in order to sleep at night.Once that happens I'll get back in a proper sleep pattern hopefully but any ideas gratefully received.

Try setting the alarm for a 15 min power nap to get you through the day until bed time. HTH

That out of step with the rest of the universe sleeping pattern is so difficult to overcome! I've had sleep problems for years - as did my mother and my daughter is now going the same way.

The only thing that helped me was to give up even attempting to fit in with everyone else. I'd go to bed and decide that, if I wasn't asleep in an hour, I would get up and do something.

I suppose it just took the pressure off and things improved quite a bit. I wouldn't say I'm exactly in step with other folk in the UK but I've family and friends in other time zones and I can Skype or exchange messages with them on FB - after all, I'm on their schedule.

Just a thought, but you said "DD is in bed as she's not at work until 2.30pm and at that time DH will be in bed..so will need to wait until 5pm when nobody is in so that I can do the rest of the upstairs jobs and the stairs." I'm not sure if anyone in your house is on a UK timetable?

    And, breathe!
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?
