Hope you feel better soon Tilly
Those mice are such a nuisance. At the moment, we are catching in the traps one mouse every 4 or 5 days (this is in the loft). So they are still coming in from somewhere, although don't appear to be in residence. When we go away on holiday we are going to have to set a huge amount of traps to deal with the problem while we are gone. My friend is coming in every week or so to check the house, and she has offered to empty any mouse traps, but I've told her that would be taking her duties too far!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Afternoon, dark, wet and windy but it won't be long and the clocks go forward :T
Loads achieved today and all downstairs has been vacuumed and steam mopped with tea tree oil. Spending this month is very controlled. I've had one splurge on tickets for Hampton Court but that comes under the heading of 'good for the soul'.
Everyone, including mum, is in good health and the only thing we haven't decided upon is our summer holiday. I think we may wait until the last moment and see where we can fly to the following day. Fingers crossed this works.
DD is coming home for the weekend
Dinner this evening is SW salmon and tamarind curry.
Right, I'm off to chop veg.

I love the sound of steam mopping with tea tree oil! Found a fair sized spider at the back of the sofa, an area I don't often clean, so I went at it a bit today, and was a bit startled to find quite how much dust had collected
