    Hello Tilly

Sorry to hear of your friend - much though these things are great for perspective and recalibrating what's important, they are also sad and challenging times. Glad you have been doing some planning too, and are getting back into the swing of your humungous lists / ironing piles … only 'cos it means you are feeling so much better (daunting for us mere mortals though your days are!).

The query about Tilly tidies reminded me … did you ever see the thread where that was asked with particular confusion … I know there have been lots on these fora, but this particular one was brilliant because the poor OP had thought it was a new beauty treatment … some variation on Brazilian.:eek:
Just tried to find it but can't now, so maybe it was taken down, but I thought you would enjoy it. I guess there is a whole language to MFW … took me ages when I started reading to work out LBM - thought it was something to do with little black mortgage or life before money or something :rotfl:

Hope you enjoyed the theatre evening out despite the rain

You need to put your future pot total into your sig so we can keep following your progress x
Ooh yes! That would be great, if you don't mind it, Tilly :j
I've moved £350 to Future pot this morning :T. I'm mentally crossing off kitchen, bathroom etc and moving on to new sofa savings.
Thats great news! See how much you've managed to collect already :j
Off to the theatre tonight and then out for dinner. Not sure I can cope eating that late but hopefully there's something light on the menu.
That can be dodgy, can't it, hope you found something - but you don't even need to eat everything on your plate, y'know :D took me a while to learn that one. Even though it feels like a waste, its quite empowering sometimes :)

Have a good Saturday, give your loved ones a hug.
Big hugs were given and received here yesterday

  • Hollyboll, you have made me roar with laughter :T

I'm trying to type as one of my cats is trying to gain my attention. A swishing tail over the keypad really helps.

  • AJ and Karmacat, I guess it would be interesting to show my Future pot in my sig (auto corrected to wig and changed to sig) but to clear our mortgage we were throwing 000s each month at it. Thankfully, we have well paid jobs, but I feel embarrassed (truly) by how quickly the Future pot is growing.

Clearing a mortgage is one thing and I'm being really honest by saying that I feel uncomfortable sharing the savings, when people are working hard to clear or offset their mortgages.

I love being on here but I don't want anyone to be judging me. It was hard work clearing the mortgage but we chose the short, difficult approach rather than less pain, longer period mainly due to our age.

    Best wishes, Tilly

NB - as I've been asked to post the figure previously, I thought an explanation was in order :)

Tilly, I wondered about that - and yes, the last thing any of *us* on here want is to lay you open to aggro. And you're right, it might well come your way :( sadly. But know that all of us on your thread are cheering you on, no matter our own financial circumstances :):):)

    exactly what KC said.

Everyone on here has different circs and challenges and choices. Almost everyone is here to share support irrespective of those. It's your diary, you share what you fancy - we all want you to stay and enjoy staying, irrespective of where you're at.

Tilly - could you do the Future Pot as a percentage? So, you and Mr T set your target and just show how near you are to that? No actual proper numbers involved!

Only just seen this, made me laugh too.
My furball LIVES on my keyboard - I've given up trying to dissuade. Once she moved across a certain combination of keys and turned the screen upside down. Took me hours to sort ;)
