Tilly and Helen, so sorry to hear your news.
It brings it home how quickly things can change.
All we can do is enjoy ourselves while we can, and not put things off for too long.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Whilst there's never a good way to go, at least if you have been ill for a while, your family, friends etc have time to start the mental adjustment. The shock of losing someone so quickly is very difficult. I had a day to come to terms with my sister being both ill then passing away the next morning. Truly horrific.
I hope work can find a way of celebrating the life of the nurse they have lost. The poor family must be in bits.

Good Morning Tilly,
My dad died very suddenly and unexpectedly in his early 40s. I was only in my early 20s and it rocked me to the core. It really made me realise what matters in this world
Best wishes, ATB xxMFW

Tilly. ATB. And especially Helen, my heart goes out to you. Tilly, we've already "spoken" about your friend. ATB, my brother in law's kids were that age when he died, so even though I've not experienced it myself, I've seen the effect it had on themyou poor thing
Helen, ohmyword, Helen ... what a nightmare. *Everyone* needs help after something like that, immediate family, distant family, friends and co-workers all. Horrendous. I bolded a bit of Goldie's post because I think its really important.
Hope everyone is okay.atypicalblonde wrote: »Good Morning Tilly,

That is so young to pass away and so tough for you. All these life changing situations shape who we become. So many chapters containing myriad glorious, funny, tragic, exhilarating moments.
Working to give yourself choice is so important. Thank goodness for g@@gle and finding MSE

Helen, that is awful, really shattering. I know you will be looking after people at work but please give yourself some time too.
Love to all of you, lots of sadness about. XPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Have had chaplaincy doing counselling throughout the day and we are going to arrange a service to say goodbye. We are also thinking about how we can mark it, like a tree or bench. Been a very hard day, especially as some staff don't know so having to tell them. Really struggled as trying to support when feeling it yourself has been quite hard.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!
