  • Have had chaplaincy doing counselling throughout the day and we are going to arrange a service to say goodbye. We are also thinking about how we can mark it, like a tree or bench. Been a very hard day, especially as some staff don't know so having to tell them. Really struggled as trying to support when feeling it yourself has been quite hard.

Sending a HUGE hug - it must have been an awful day.

A bench seems like a lovely thing to do.

    Very best wishes Tilly x x x

  • Afternoon, grey, drizzly and cold, don't you just love autumn days :rotfl:

All ironing, additional washing and upstairs tidying/sorting is done.
Chickpea and BNS tagine (Economy Gastronomy) made ready for tomorrow night
Off to Mr A to buy Chinese takeaway for DS. I'm out tonight and Mr T is away. Lovely lodger is playing footie and out for beers and pizza.

I am having a Gally moment - I have a list of 31 things to get done by the end of the week  That is a self imposed deadline but it is all the small bits and bobs that get missed/forgotten. By Friday night, I'll be up to date. I will pop to Costco on Friday and bulk buy some meat for batch cooking early next week.

I'm visiting mum next week and am hoping to find a choral performance to go to, during a lunchtime. Fingers crossed :T

DD is working like a demon and DS is doing all his homework and add-on work on the day it's set. Both of them seem in a really good place in terms of discipline and determination.

Money - I've moved money to our Future pot, plus Tilly Tidied 4p :T

I have applied for and been accepted for a Sainsbobs CC. As Mr Ts expenses credit card, which he stoozes, is coming to end of interest free period. We will pay that off and he will switch to using this one. Now we are MF I'm starting to look at the various options for saving/interest. Money claimed from expenses will be moved into interest bearing accounts, twizzled when necessary and the card can be fully paid off as it reaches credit limit.

His free hotel nights are working hard for us - currently standing at 4 in the bag and working towards 5th. We have really appreciated this benefit :)

PC survey complete, YG surveys to do but I seem to have lost my YG mojo a bit.

  • There are lots of good accounts out there if you are happy to juggle every month. X

  • Morning, I'd planned on clearing some tasks from my to do list today but I'm taking my chum to chemo instead and that sounds a FAR better use of my time :).

    Tasks can certainly wait.

DS bought me a cup of tea in bed his morning - gold star for said son :)

On the MFW holiday news, weekend sorted to visit Gally :T:T

Right, I'd better jump to it.

  • Morning, I'm not sure where last week went but it was certainly busy.

It's good to be feeling much better and working through lists of tasks.

I've moved £350 to Future pot this morning :T. I'm mentally crossing off kitchen, bathroom etc and moving on to new sofa savings.

Off to the theatre tonight and then out for dinner. Not sure I can cope eating that late but hopefully there's something light on the menu.

A few garden jobs on the list for today :T

Have a good Saturday, give your loved ones a hug.
