  • Evening, lovely day and DD delighted with bookcase, even if it did mean we missed the horses over the weekend. She can now see the floor of her bedroom.

Weather has been glorious yet started off so miserable - made for a lovely walk.

Money - payday tomorrow and I'm ridiculously excited.

Early night for me, Tilly x x x

  • Evening, what a glorious day.

It's still sunny now but turning chilly.

Money moved to Future pot. :j:j:j

    It feels slightly surreal.

All meal plans will be sent out after 12/10 due to email problems. What a joy :o

    Have a good evening.

Love catching up on this thread. :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • I have not been on here for 8 months or so and cannot believe how many of the diaries I was following have paid off!! Inspirational, well done!
  • Morning, well I can see a little bit of sun but it's very hazy.

Back from my escapades, lovely time was had and met more people. There's a wide variety of nationalities and it's interesting to chat about travel, customs, healthcare etc. Given the NHS debt it makes me wonder how long it can continue before people are expected to contribute. For example, if you require an X-ray in Portugal, you have to make a contribution etc.

Money - very little spent. I went shopping yesterday £47.88 - I will need to buy some fruit but nothing else.

Freezer is well stocked but larder is a mess and will sort this coming week.

The salad leaves in the garden are doing well (under large cloches) and should keep us going until mid November. I am planting some basil seeds next week - this is a test - will keep on west facing window ledge, covered with a large plastic bag and see if they germinate.

Broad beans, garlic are planted ready for next year :j

I need to get cracking, we are off to see mum and deliver a present for her, then picking DD up.

    Best wishes Tilly x x x

Morning, thanks for dropping by. We are pretty much delighted :j that it's gone.

Without :money: we would not have achieved it.

  • Yes agree and welcome back SD. I feel my MF status is getting so close now too. There's a saying, "Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use." -- Earl Nightingale, which I think fits for so many things (incliding my MSc!).
