Popping out of lurkdom to comment on sofa beds and menu planning!
We have a sofa bed with a memory foam mattress. Used it a lot when we first moved in to the house (it was our only sofa and bed!) and it was v comfy. Definitely something where you get what you pay for.
Menu Planning - a Tilly Thread would be great!!!! A few years ago you kindly emailed me your menu plan template spreadsheet - still use it now.
Very late congratulations on clearing the mortgage - I read regularly but never comment anymore, so sorry it is late!

LOL Seems I started something Tilly! You are now in demand
(Answered your pm - hope that worked x)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
We have a sofa bed in our family room. Having slept on it myself (when one of the children was small and ill and I wanted to be near them and not disturb anyone else) I can vouch that they are much improved from my memories of them in the 80s and 90s! Our one has also had my uncle and aunt sleep on it several times - and he's 6ft 2" and finds it fine, even with someone else (my aunt
) also in there.
DD also uses it for sleepovers - two teenage girls tend to use it (not the biggest/ heaviest people, I know!)

Hi Tilly
Just wanted to pop by and say a belated congratulations on becoming mortgage free!:T
I'm currently reading your diary from the start (only up to page 23 so far!) and I'm learning so much from you already! I only know you are now mortgage free from your signature and from sneaking a peak at the end of your diary on the day you made that payment!
Just wanted to say what an inspiration you are....it gives those of us with debt and mahoosive mortgages hope!
Hopefully I'll catch up to the present in your before too long - but not before I've learnt even more I'm sure!

Hi Tilly,
Thank you for posting a welcome message on my new diary, I am honoured. More importantly congratulations on clearing the mortgage - that is an epic achievement in less than four years! I have read your diary pretty much from the start (as a lurker) and am so happy for you. To echo what others have said please stay and share your wisdom, you always write some thought provoking and inspiring posts.Current mortgage as at start of diary 14.08.15 - £245,990.00
Mortgage balance as at 04.01.20 - £123905.510 -
Sorry for my tardiness and being late to congratulate you on the mortgage status. Super pleased for you. Inspirational always.
:TMFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0 -
Also wanted to say congrats to you too!
I started with the first MFiT, was also then lucky enough to have a FD Offset at 1.29%.
We then decided to move nearer family & downsize house/work - it's been a journey that has taken longer than we thought (and hasn't entirely gone to plan)...we hoped to be mortgage-free but prices here are higher.
So, we move next week and are being re-inspired by all the MFW diaries. I was re-reading the start of your diary realising that I need to get back on track with surveys etc.
As soon as we are settled I plan to finally start my first diary to keep us on track and share the goodwill.0 -
Tilly, currently reading Marie Kondo's book and thought of you:
"As for toilet paper, the record stock so far is 80 rolls". Obviously none of her clients have been mathematically challenged while ordering off Amazon after a few glasses of wine
Please declutter your in box, thank youA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
