  • It's like a drab, wet autumn Sunday.

DSs bedroom has had a top to bottom clean, plus his bathroom. I'm going to tackle the ironing and Mr T is doing manly things with taps and washers - that's a worry :rotfl:

Cats are going to be thrown off our bed shortly as we change the bedding. Now do I get the flannelette out

    CAN'T wait to go away.

  • We have friends staying in our house at the moment and I've just asked them to have a glass of wine in the garden for us. 27 degrees and a light breeze - just like the UK

All magazines, books including cookery books sorted. Pile for CS, box for Drs surgery and some into recycling.

All my CDs sorted and pile for CS, some for Portugal but all on the PC and backed up to cloud storage.

I am feeling so much better getting rid of stuff

Hounds are not happy with the weather. One of them has taken to peering out of the back door but won't go out. Very funny to see.

Mr T is finishing the dinner and then we are going to have a chin wag.

I can smell the woodsmoke - big sis has lit a fire - yay! It is raining and set to rain all day. I am still under the duvet, reading!

  • Hi Apple,it's hard to believe we are almost in August and it's this cold. We've had rain, wind, dark cloud but the sun came out about an hour ago and o quickly weeded the veggie beds and picked some courgettes.

DVDs sorted (again, last did them not long after starting my diary). Classics kept, a few sorted for Portugal, good for friends with children. The rest will be checked on MM in case we can sell them. If not CS it is.

I'm really enjoying having some time to sort and clear.

    Complete so far:
    Scarves
    Gloves
    hats
    Coats
    Shoes
    Boots
    CDs
    DVDs
    Books
    Magazines
    Socks
    Underwear
    Clothes
    China
    Glass

It makes life much easier doing all of the same thing at once. Plus it's made me 'find' everything and now the things we are keeping have a specific home.

    Best wishes Tilly x x

  • It is a lovely feeling when you know where everything is!
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D
  • £11.10 so far on MM - Mr T is going to work through all his CDs on Thursday evening.

Is it any consolation to hear it's still over 30 here and forecast to only drop to 26 during the night?

    Thought not :rotfl:.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Booger off GG. It's blinking chilly here. Just because you've jetted off to the sun, spare a thought for the rest of us :rotfl:
