  • Morning, the jobs from yesterday were carried forward to today  However, we had a lovely family day and jobs would have got in the way :)

I'll pop some seeds into pots this morning and at least my basil will be in the way.

I'm walking the hounds with DD this morning and looking forward to watching them run free. We don't leave them off the leads for long, as they're large dogs, but for the time they are free, it's a true delight to watch them.

Tilly Tidied 71p to MOS :T

Right, I'm off to make a cuppa and empty the DW, put the WM on for bedding and right a list of things to achieve today.

    Best wishes Tilly x x

Sounds good, Tilly! I have sun today thankfully :j

Have you grown basil from seed before? I'm *so* bad at growing from seed ...

    Have a lovely day!

Morning Karmacat, I've found basil fairly straightforward. I don't do anything complicated. I use smallish pots, a stick in the middle of compost, I pop quite a few seeds in each one, then put a clear plastic bag over the top. Stick keeps the bag lifted. Give them a water, and leave on a sunny window ledge. I use quite a lot of basil, so tend to do a few pots worth :)

Lovely that the sun is coming out. It's just arrived here bu still very windy.

    Have a good day, Tilly x x x

Thanks for answering Tilly. Can I ask another question (erm, I'm going to, anyway :rotfl:): how often do you water them? When do you take that bag off? I love basil, really love it, and all I do so far is buy a supermarket "live plant" and repot each one into separate pots. Not good enough, for how much I love it :D

  • Hi Karmacat, I use a spray to water them initially, then I mist them once a week. If it's really hot, then I would mist twice aweek. Once the plants are around 2-3" tall, I repot. I use quite a few plants per finished pot, then leave them on the kitchen windowsill.

I'm no expert. I this has always worked for me.

I have planted them outside as well, but always keep some in the kitchen through summer :)

    Best wishes, Tilly x x

  • Morning, weather is a little dismal and I heard from a friend yesterday, who said it was 28 degrees in Portugal yesterday

Organisation - financials/receipts need to be done tomorrow. Papers put together as we are going away for a few days - just the two of us :T. Ironing

I've Tilly Tidied all bank, savings accounts and all the pennies etc have added up to £2.23 - moved that to MOS :)

My handbag needs a sort out, boy is it a mess. I am sure there is a gremlin living in my bag, who moves everything around :rotfl:

I'd better have a shower as I'm out and about for a couple of things today.

    Best wishes Tilly x

  • :eek::eek: bad news warning :eek::eek:

Mr T popped into a DIY shop and someone hit my car, which he had taken :eek:

:T good news - the person that did it, stayed around until he came out to apologise and pass his details on :T

Doesn't take the frustration away, but at least our insurance company will sort it out with his now.

May have seen Fast and Furious this morning - after trying to have a breakfast in a local Harvester, however the server forgot to put the order through to the kitchen  We popped to a supermarket to try and have breakfast and every plate delivered was wrong - free breakfast all round :). DD and I may have cried at the end of the film :o

No jobs that should have been done, have been but we've had some laughter and a few more memories tucked away.

I'm going to have forty winks now :D

I have a piece of good news but I've completely forgotten what it is - let's hope I remember.

:eek::eek: Tilly! I'm glad he stayed around, and I'm glad MrT wasn't in the car when it happened - the insurance companies really aren't going to try to argue themselves out of that one.

Sounds like you were very hungry and emotional today :kisses3: 40 winks is a jolly good idea :grouphug:

Your good news will still be here :)

Oh no,how annoying about the car.

At least the person who do it, did the decent thing - these days a lot of people would have just driven off.

Although the insurance will sort it out, there'll still be some degree of inconvenience:(
