DD will be home on Friday and I'm making a special effort with dinner as everyone will be back in their nest
. No Osprey style fighting ala Jeremy Kyle
. Not sure what to cook and going off menu plan :) I quite fancy something Middle Eastern, spicy and flavoursome but not hot.
Oh Tills - no wonder I feel 'at home' on this thread - you understand. In RL both DP and I get comments on the type of food we eat - with folksassuming that spicy = hot.
We've just had a dinner that was middle eastern in heritage, so can appreciate what you mean

We used to have it sprinkled all around the house to train our dog, ah memories. :smileyhea
Will definitely give this a go, thanks for the tip

Evening Greying, I'll pop over to your diary to check out your dinner
I still haven't decided what to cook
It's definitely from that neck of the woods as Mr T says he fancies this as well.

Morning, we seem to have missed the downpours last night - thankfully I managed to dry all the washing on the line

I have topped all the saving pots up, with the exception of holidays and fuel. I'll top up holidays when I'm paid this month. Four months of savings back in place :j
Mr T has to sort out where his expenses are paid as currently they are going into the normal daily account. He's decided to revert to what he used to do and use a separate expenses account. Previously this was with a different bank but we've agreed to open another FD one and keep the offset advantage. As he's travelling a fair bit the expenses rack up and it's better to keep the normal account clean. Job for Friday - contact FD.
Rain has started whilst I've been typing
Quick recap of April, first salary paid for Mr T, fair bit of socialising but all low cost, OPs back in place, savings pots mostly back to normal. Less TD usage. On the negative side, less walking, more work frustration.
Next thing to complete, build the float for the joint account. Mr T wants it to be slightly bigger, so a bit of May's salary needed to top that up. By end of may we should be back to normal with all pots in the right place, plus bank accounts.
I've met a web designer and am going to chat to him about the website I want to start up. I'd put my blog on there as well - lots of thinking and planning and I'm truly loving it.
Jobs for May - more effort needed on the housework front
Have a great Thursday and it will soon be the BH.

What a day - I ironed during calls; I've finished a mountain of work; I've prepared the dinner; I've booked a massage (will use some of entertainment pot), I've emptied the airing cupboard and just about to pop out
Will pick Mr T up later and he's WFH tomorrow - early morning dog walk, breakfast together and family meal tomorrow night.
It's been a productive day and will enable the weekend not to be so rushed.
I need to buy a gift to say thank you to someone and will do that early Saturday. Shopping tomorrow after work meaning that's off the list as well for the w/e.
Having made the decision re work I feel much lighter. Just need to get things sorted and next chapter starts.
Have a good evening, Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

OMG Tilly, just reading your diary exhausts me:o
I have a kitchen full of washing up to do, a pile of laundry to fold / iron and put away that's in DDs room so i don't have to look at it, a hoover that hasn't been plugged in for
:o:o weeks (double OMG there), a dog who's forgotten what a walk looks like etc etc etc. Off to do something productive - hangs head in shame and shuffles off, trailing dust and cobwebs behind her:rotfl: Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

My 19 month old DD went up to a toy iron and ironing board at a playgroup recently and started ironing, I turned to a friend and said "goodness knows where she learnt to do that, she's never seen me iron as long as she's been alive" :rotfl:Life is changing...but I'm still Money Saving!0
