PS. We had an *Wl energy monitor Tilly. I can recommend borrowing one from your library or a friend (we bought one and were given another - in the end we ebayed one and gave the other away so are now 'monitor less')
It was an excellent way of making you really think about energy consumption but once you (and the other family members
) have twigged then its a bit redundant imo. Our energy bills have never been lower..now some of that is due to having a small number of solar panels but mainly its down to changing our behaviours..(and you'll see why I don't iron!! :rotfl:) MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

We went to a friends house for dinner the other night, she was putting her washing in the TD ... It had a light ... I was holding my sides with the laughter, I honestly thought people were at it when they mentioned lights in TD's my friend asked what I was laughing at, between gasps I explained the various MFW convos regarding TD's with lights lol0

Re tumble dryer.....
Have you considered just chucking a lit candle in with the drying?
If you used a Yankee Candle you'd have lovely smelling laundry as well

I use my :smileyheatumble drier with the internal light :smileyhea way too much

Morning, I'm loving these short weeks

SM tonight and housework to be done. I'm working from home and little chance to get stuff done before Mr T comes home, plus I've a houseful tomorrow morning. Could be a late night.
Spending diary and banking up to date.
Study has been sorted out and I've a few things to work through tomorrow afternoon with Mr T.
Menu plan isn't done for May. That may need to be a job for Monday night.
My hounds have nibbled the tops of half my pea shoots :eek:
Mortgage news - none sadly. All spending is still controlled, Tilly Tidies most days to MOS, shopping list used to avoid extras.
That's all for now, have a god Friday.

I love pea shoots. Sadly I am with the dogs on this one...shoots are delicious and best eaten immediately

Pea shoots are delicious but the thing I love about them is that they look so beautiful on the plate.
We have a lovely restaurant we frequent in Southport, and they use them as garnish - the meals are works of art!

But I agree Tilly that it is so annoying having washing everywhere around the house - with 6 of us and sometimes lodgers too, it is ridiculous. We have two washing machines and I could easily do 4 loads a day. I dry all of the washing in front of the Aga, which makes it very difficult to cook!

I stick mine on the actual Aga - have had a few burn marks and its not that nice when guests come round to see my smalls on there :rotfl:

Morning, I'm not sure where the week has disappeared to

I've got a houseful today and am just about to start making breakfast for around 20 people :rotfl: Feel free to send positive vibes
I popped to L!dl and did the shopping last night - I'm normally a Saturday morning shopper and I'm likely to swap. It was great to get home, scan, put away and know that it's out of the way.
Once everyone goes today Mr T and I are walking the hounds - we've loads to catch up on and even if it's pouring with rain, the dogs will be happy. They were delighted to see him last night - his routine is a bit off due to the bank holidays so he's been either back late or away - you can't beat watching a grown man sitting on the floor with his dogs trying to sit on his lap. Bear in mind there's two dogs and only one lap :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Money - shopping was £43 which included some stuff for DS who is away for the weekend and DD who is away next week so not bad at all.
I'd better run I need to start cooking.

Hi tilly, I hope you don't mind but I felt the need to crash your thread and tell everyone how good my heated airer is what with all the talk of electric gobbling td's

It was about £90 from l*keland , but uses less than 5p ph , I can get a full three loads on at a time and it dries in a day , plus everything can go on it even delicates , so no more whacking the heating up when I forgot to wash the kids pe kits
honestly everyone I have told about it loves it after they have bought one! MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
