  • Hi Imelda, not sure about rocking but apart from when I am working, I don't like sitting down really. DH makes me put my feet up to stop - a bit driven is an understatement. However, when my offset account looks like yours I will be a VERY happy bunny.

Good luck with the veg - its fab.

  • Hi Shala_Moo, good luck with your veg and blueberries are simple to grow - I have 7 in two huge pots and they are so prolific it's hard to keep up with them. Raspberries/strawberries are easy as well.

Have fun with it and great news about the compost that will be a big help.

    Best wishes Tilly x

  • Goodness, I have just looked at when I started my diary (thanks Imelda your post prompted me to check when I did) and it was only just over 15 weeks ago. in just under 4 months, we have turned our lives round to a new way of living.

That is amazing and very hard to believe. It has become such a way of life now and in a relatively short period. Anyone reading this who is doing as I did, lurking (for a year), then don't wait. Jump in with both feet and get stuck in.

Best wishes and thanks to everyone who has posted or thanked for keeping me on the straight and narrow.

Morning, I have been paid today so OP fund sits at £9k out of £30k. Any extra funds will help to top this up and make Xmas cost neutral.

It's working - have a great day all. Tilly x

  • This Means War tickets acquired thanks to MSE. Free night at the movies - maybe I should break my non drinking period with a glass of wine before hand? Nope, I think I will keep going until after Lent now.

I have a lovely 30 minutes of peace and quiet now - working from home, no calls until 9am and all ironing complete. Am going to do some kettle bell and medicine ball work in my lunch break - no idea how that will go but I keep being told that these big movements, all body things will help improve my fitness quite quickly. DH wants to get a personal trainer and have both of us work with them for an hour a week to make sure we are doing things properly. No idea if that's a good or bad idea, nor the costs, but I do think something so regimented could prove difficult with work. What I am doing now allows me to fit it in when and where I can - not possible with a pre arranged visit. We will talk about it for a whole before making any decisions.

I thought I was doing quite well without :)

Evening, hard to believe its Wednesday tomorrow. I never seem to have enough hours in the day. Work is pretty frantic but certainly exciting. I love what I do and get a really buzz about bringing change into an organisation and the benefits this brings. Change always has the element of fear for so many people, when in fact it can be a catalyst bringing forth fantastic opportunities. Sorry, I have my work head on. I feel very blessed that I work in an environment which encourages and motivates. Good for the soul.

Anyway, on a practical front, we are half way through the building of the PhotoBook for my family. I am having to hunt out pictures and as I have lost two close relatives recently, my avenues for obtaining more pictures quietly, are disappearing. Fingers crossed I can find a few more - it's looking really good though.

With the movies yesterday, drinks (diet peps@) with a girlfriend this evening and a talk to go to tomorrow night, I can imagine come Thursday I will be feeling quite bushed. I didn't have time for a walk or jog or my kettle bell stuff today, however, I will have time before I go out tomorrow.

I am going to do my utmost to avoid the supermarket this weekend. I am only going to buy fresh veg/fruit from Aldi or Lidl if needed, along with some milk. So a cheapish shop coming up.

DH is paid on Friday so I have another money movement to do - DH said this evening that due to our lodgers, two salary payments, I manage to shift money 10 times in a month - a fact I hadn't really grasped before. When you are in a routine I guess you forget, so that was a pleasing thought.

I need to do a round up of progress towards the end of next week as it will be my 4th month anniversary - there's a new opportunity for Martin, MSE anniversary cards - celebrating x years of financial savviness (not sure that word exists but not to worry).......

Pretty busy on the social front through March as most weekends are taken up with entertaining or being entertained. A bit of planning required as my menu plan will need updating again to take this into consideration. Maybe a job for Thursday whilst sitting with my feet up.

Have a good week all and I hope your journeys are going well.

    Best wishes Tilly x

  • Forget putting my feet up on Thursday evening, I will be on calls with the US instead - I wonder if I could menu plan and listen in, instead :)

Hi, I didn't post yesterday as work was too ridiculous for words and then I went out last night also. Sadly I came down with a bug my son has, so spent the day in bed, most of which was spent sleeping.

Didn't join the calls ths evening but sadly didn't feel up to menu planning, or ironing. Means I have a lot to catch up on but the way i feel, unlikely to get done tomorrow either.

Hope everyone is having a good week - DH has been trying to get his head round coupons - I went to get a drink a whole ago and there's a whole forest of paper in the study :rotfl:

    Best wishes all Tilly x
